I was out for a walk on Monday and noticed the prairie crocus are blooming out in the fields.

i love the dandelions first thing in the spring and their fields of yellow flowers flowing gracefully through the parks but then i give my head a shake and realize that they're evil... and they're bloody everywhere!

I cleared away debris and contents of the old flower pots from on top of the area where bulbs come up, and there were many shoots! I think these are tulips starting? ( I am probably wrong but they are up whatever they are! )

Mine are still buried. Apparently migratory birds in NS are going hungry since they can't get at the bugs and things they would normally eat.

Walked around my yard today here in Bedford, Nova Scotia and happy to report I only have 4 feet of snow in my yard....it was 6 feet just two weeks ago. As for things growing, simply my impatience with this overdue winter.
