So I've got these three guys planted underneath........
.......this guy
Looks fantastic. And the rabbits didn't eat any of it! Well, I knew they wouldn't touch the daffodils but I wasn't sure about the other two... now I know. And there's a little white azalea that I put in there last fall, but it won't be blooming for a little bit yet.

DH told me this morning that he saw some tiny white and bleu flowers not fully opened.....i have to chek those, might be muscaris...
i also have some beautifull pink tulips that look like roses but nothing show yet....
despite the mild winter we had, i thing they are late this year
usually they are fully in bloom around may 18 or so.....
and i have to see if the things i planted last summer will show this year.....sometimes even if they are perrenial good for our area, they are one year bloom , Wonder why ..... :-(Thank's to DH who told me the grumpy Garfield was not at all representative of who i am

I have things disappear all the time, Mia. Plants that are considered to be a Zone 3 die over the winter in my Zone 5. I have no idea why. It could be critters having a winter snack, or they didn't get enough moisture through the winter, or they were simply unhappy where they were planted. One winter I lost an entire bed of spring bulbs to a bunch of voles. Let's just say once I found out, those voles didn't make it through the summer

Good week to harvest dandelions (they are everywhere) if you are into wine making, turning the roots into coffee substitute or like the leaves in your salads!
Noticed really beautiful flowerbeds in front of the Upper James Keg & Turtle Jack restaurants-some daffodils still holding on, three colours of lilacs, and three colours of tulips.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I hope to be contributing to this thread more this summer, we just bought a house! Yey no more condo! What is blooming in my hood is a magnificent cream yellow magnolia. I had no idea they came in that colour at all. I must get me one when we move into our new home.

Love the yellow magnolia! There's one down the street and around the block from us - I covet thy neighbor's magnolia tree
I relocated a rosebush today - it wasn't getting enough sun in it's previous spot, it should be much happier now. It's a World Peace rose, smells magnificent.

not a whole lot yet. Tulips came and went fast. We bought a piece of indoor/outdoor carpeting ( the green kind ) for the deck last night and I think that will be the only green we see in the back yard for a while.

Forget-me nots, some parsley spurting up from last year's growth (not all of it has come back) and tulips holding strong for another week. The coming humidity next week will probably finish the tulips before next Saturday.

hooray! The backyard is nice once again! DH and DS stepped up big time and got the new gazebo up, the carpet down, the furniture arranged, the lights strung and DH then went to town making up hanging baskets, window boxes and filled 4 lg containers for beans and snow peas. Still lots to do but at least we have an oasis where we can sit in/under and enjoy listening to the crazy ( and teensy ) yapping Yorkshire 2 yards over! That dog gets our 2 shih tzus going and then the whole street gets to listen......ha ha
More wine please!

used to be a lot of interesting blooms here - now not so much
did see some forget me not, daffidillos, (nephews name - too darn sweet) and tulips
but the best thought of blooming for me was a trip lately to my dad's school house and to
see the lilac bush that is still there, likely looks like this now,
