Smart Summon feature on Tesla cars--could be an issue. See the Twitter post (in the article) about one owner's car that almost went into the path of another driver's vehicle.

Or how a police car (Tesla) ran out of charge during a chase.

Father of Beyonce and Solange Knowles, Matthew, has breast cancer:

Opinion piece on inequities of cancer drug policies across Canada (ex. oral drugs coverage vs hospital intravenous drug coverage):
    https://www.thespec.com/opinion-stor...n-drug-crisis/
Cancer drugs are mainly administered through two routes: either orally, which can be done in the comfort of the patient's home, or intravenously, which needs to be administered in a hospital by a health care professional. Because the Canada Health Act stipulates that all physician and hospital services must be publicly funded for the provinces to receive federal funding for health, intravenous cancer drugs are covered across all provinces. For orally administered cancer drugs, the story is quite different. In Ontario, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador, patients sometimes bear the responsibility for some or all of the costs, while in western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) and in Quebec, oral cancer drugs are fully covered.
Most effective copy headline on an article-great "ewww" factor:

Data breach at TransUnion Canada: https://globalnews.ca/news/6017356/t...-cyberattacks/

The data at TransUnion was compromised between June 28 and July 11, but the incident wasn’t detected until August.
Remember the other breach this year, the Capital One Mastercard? I did not see any letter from HBC Mastercard for Mom on that matter. I have to ask her to get her free annual credit report to check anyway.

So I guess I'm the Meryl Streep of generals.

Former Defense Secretary James Mattis, laughing off President Trump's recent criticism of him.
Trump, who once called Oscar winner Meryl Streep an "overrated actress," called Mattis "the world's most overrated general."

During his speech on Thursday, Mattis insisted that Trump's comments didn't bother him. Mattis riffed that he "earned my spurs at the battlefield" while Trump "earned his spurs from a letter from the doctor" in a pointed jab at his former boss' cited reason for avoiding the Vietnam War draft.
Mattis went on to joke that "the only person on the military that Mr. Trump doesn't think is overrated" is "Colonel Sanders," the founder of the Kentucky Fried Chicken fast food restaurant chain.

    Congratulations to Northern Ireland!

As of midnight local time, abortions and same-sex marriage will be legal.

Finally couples of all pairings can marry and women can control their destiny!!

Speaker John Bercow has blocked a bid to hold another 'meaningful vote' on @BorisJohnson's #Brexit deal.

He said the matter had already been "decided", and that parliamentary rules don't allow MPs to vote on the same motion twice.

Mr. Boris Johnson-is the one who basically said that Brexit was a done deal by end of Oct. I saw morning show headlines this week that he's seeking a December election? Did he drink a forget-I-said-that something or other this month?

I was reading an item on a legal website when I saw this Quebec divorce case article headline. Beware if your divorce involves dual-citizenships and properties in both lands--Quebec's got rules on that.

In a Quebec divorce case involving a wealthy couple with competing matrimonial property claims in Quebec and Belgium, the Supreme Court of Canada has 6-1 refused to stop the Quebec court from proceeding with the case, in a judgment which provides guidance on the scope and application of the international lis pendens exception under Quebec’s private international law (PIL).

Interesting article in the Globe and Mail dissecting the Conservative loss in the election. There is also a similar article in today’s Sunday Star.
