Holy Smokes Lynn! Way to Go!! That's just awesome and heartwarming. Marraige is both a difficult and very rewarding commitment. My DH and I are celebrating our 28th on Sat. too.

I think what people don't realize in this day and age. . .is that there will be "unhappy" times. . . maybe there will come a time when you even "fall out of love" but if you stick with it and work at it, you will see those happy times again. Someone told me once, "Try to reflect back on the reasons you fell in love with your mate. Those same qualities are likely still there. That's a place to start."

Aw, thank you Natalka...and omg, hearing Mnohaya Lita again just brought tears to my eyes...it was sung at our wedding by everyone there and I'm sure you were serenaded with it on yours, too.
Thank you everyone for your sweet wishes, kind words of congratulations...and yes, as Glowworm said there are and were tough times (strikes, teenagers......that tested our patience), but it's also true what Natalka posted: that through such times, being able to vent, to feel weak and admit it and need support..and receiving it...being petty, selfish, bratty, and all the time feeling it's safe to be all those things without being judged...priceless...throughout our marriage we've both had times when we had to lift each other up...it's easier now of course, but wow...there were some very tough times.

Natalka...I think I'll add that Dinah Craik reading to my repertoir for my couples: it's so beautiful!!

Thank you, everyone...but it's been a pretty easy ride with my Hubby...
It's gone by so fast, however...if I had a wish, it would be to start over again....
