It's funny, I think I'm the only person who thinks of Leonard Nimoy as part of the cast of Mission Impossible rather than Star Trek (he played Paris & replaced Martin Landau as a member of the team). Think I might do a MI marathon tomorrow...

Andi, I watched MI as a kid, but I don't remember him in it.

He had a lot of cool other roles, too

Fantasy author Sir Pterry Pratchett dies agd 66

Fantasy author Sir Terry Pratchett has died aged 66, having had Alzheimer's disease for eight years.
"The world has lost one of its brightest, sharpest minds," said Larry Finlay of his publishing company, Transworld.
Best known for the Discworld series, Sir Terry wrote more than 70 books over his lengthy career.
He was first diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2007, but continued writing, completing his final book last summer.
The author died at home "with his cat sleeping on his bed, surrounded by his family," Mr Finlay said.
"In over 70 books, Terry enriched the planet like few before him," he added.
"As all who read him know, Discworld was his vehicle to satirize this world: He did so brilliantly, with great skill, enormous humour and constant invention.
"Terry faced his Alzheimer's disease (an 'embuggerance', as he called it) publicly and bravely. Over the last few years, it was his writing that sustained him. His legacy will endure for decades to come.

    Thomas Stanley
    RIP
Taught us that you next door neighbour could be a millionaire, and you don't know it. Teachers are one of the 'millionaires next door'
Thomas J. Stanley, author of the best-selling book, "The Millionaire Next Door: The Surprising Secrets of America's Wealthy," has died in a car crash near his home in suburban Atlanta, police said on Monday. He was 71.
Stanley, whose series of books on millionaires helped define a generation of wealthy people in America, was killed Saturday afternoon when a car slammed into his vehicle near his home in Marietta, Georgia, about 20 miles north of Atlanta, Cobb County police Sergeant Dana Pierce said.
A retired marketing professor at Georgia State University, Stanley used his research to debunk notions that most self-made millionaires are flashy big spenders.
His 1996 book, "The Millionaire Next Door," co-written with William D. Danko, described them as penny pinchers and is still recommended as a go-to book for personal financial advice.
His other books included "The Millionaire Mind" and "Millionaire Women Next Door."
Thomas took the study of millionaires as serious work. In 1980, he conducted the first national survey of America's millionaires, according to his website, and he was a sought-after speaker and author of more than 40 published articles on the affluent.
At the time of his death, he was working with his daughter, Sarah Fallaw, on an updated book about millionaires and the new gilded age in America, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper.
The funeral home handling Stanley's arrangements said services are planned for Thursday.

Twisted Sister Drummer A.J. Pero Dead at 55

Longtime Twisted Sister drummer A.J. Pero has passed away, the heavy-metal act announced in a statement today. The Associated Press reports that Pero was found unresponsive on a tour bus in Poughkeepsie, New York and subsequently died of an apparent heart attack.
Pero had been touring with a side project, Adrenaline Mob, at the time of his death.

The Staten Island–born drummer was originally in the New York rock group Cities when he was recruited to join Twisted Sister in 1982. With Snider's crew, Pero appeared on the band's first four albums – 1982's Under the Blade, 1983's You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll, 1984's Stay Hungry and 1985's Come Out and Play – before leaving Twisted Sister and rejoining Cities in 1986.

Pero was behind the kit on Twisted Sister's most popular tracks, "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock." The band broke up in 1988, but Pero linked back up with his former bandmates for brief reunions in 1997 and the early 2000s until they regrouped permanently in 2003 and subsequently made a pair of studio albums, 2004's Still Hungry and 2006's A Twisted Christmas. Pero was still the group's drummer at the time of his death. It's unclear whether Twisted Sister will postpone their upcoming tour dates – they're next scheduled to perform May 30th in Las Vegas, Nevada – in light of Pero's death.
In addition to Twisted Sister, Pero was also a member of the Ozzy Osbourne cover band No More Tears.
