SO sad to hear of the passing of Chris, what a shock, I wonder what the cause of death was, they posted a photo of them on facebook just Sunday lounging by a pool.

    This doesn't sound good....

TORONTO — Chris Hyndman of the CBC TV show Steven and Chris has died, executives for the public broadcaster confirmed in an internal statement.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the news Christopher Hyndman died early this morning,” Heather Conway, Executive Vice President of English Services, and Jennifer Dettman, Executive Director of Unscripted Content, said in a joint statement.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to Steven, family, friends and colleagues; our thoughts are with them all.”

    Jason Scott/Global News

Employment assistance is being provided as needed and the CBC will issue and external statement later this afternoon.
Police said Tuesday that a body was found in an alleyway near Broadview Avenue and Queen Street overnight. A source close to Global News said Hyndman lived with Steven Sabados at 68 Broadview Ave.
Toronto paramedics say the man was found without vital signs and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s body was discovered just before midnight and it’s unclear if the death is being considered suspicious. Police have not yet confirmed if the two incidents are connected.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

hearing this is as everyone says is too damn sad,
chris was such a sweet heart
sighing for steven, his family, friends and us

anyone who watched their show knows what a terrific soul
he was and that he should still be here.

i remember when i told a friend in the us, that we had a show
with 2 gay guys, and what that show included, she was surprised,
described the guys and now i am so saddened that chris is gone
lost my train of thought, darn how could chris be gone?

Last Dambusters pilot dies aged 96

The last surviving pilot from the Dambusters raids has died at the age of 96. Les Munro died on Tuesday morning in hospital in Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty in his native New Zealand.
His death means there are just two survivors from the 1943 bombing raids on Germany’s Ruhr dams: George “Johnny” Johnson, from the UK, who was a bomb-aimer; and Canadian front-gunner Fred Sutherland.
In a statement, the New Zealand Bomber Command Association announced the “extremely sad news”, saying: “Our New Zealand Bomber Command Association patron, and well known Dambuster pilot, Les Munro passed away last night following a spell in hospital with heart problems. So, so sad. He was a mighty man.”

Christopher Hyndman, co-host of the afternoon talk show Steven and Chris on CBC-TV, has died.
"It is with profound sadness that we share the news Christopher Hyndman died early this morning," said the public broadcaster in a memo distributed to staff Tuesday afternoon.
"We extend our deepest sympathies to Steven, family, friends and colleagues; our thoughts are with them all."

Hyndman started the design company The Sabados Group with Steven Sabados, his off-screen partner and former television co-host, in 1992. The pair went on to notable success with several programs, including the HGTV shows Chic with Steven and Chris, Design Rivals and Designer Guys.
Hyndman often played the joker, while the more straitlaced Sabados played up his calm and pragmatic demeanour.
Chuck Thompson, head of public affairs at CBC English Services, said the show has been pulled from the schedule.

very shocked and saddened by Chris's untimely death, but i don't buy the story it was "sleepwalking"

something more sinister is going on and the police are tight lipped about it.

and in true Canadian fashion, the media is very hush hush about the case

if this was in the US.... paparazzi would be camped out at Steven's apt and footage of their last trip in Barbados would be telecasted.

and to that I say THANK GOD we are not in the US and we don't have that extreme paparazzi element here, Steven deserves his privacy, whatever happened or did not happen to cause Chris death is really not our business, what is the most important thing here is the love of his life is lost forever.

'Rowdy' Roddy Piper suffered a fatal heart attack brought on by a blood clot in his lungs, reports TMZ, which has obtained a copy of the WWE star's death certificate. The document states that Piper, who passed away at 61, had a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot) that triggered a heart attack.

The clot, explains the death certificate, was likely brought on by the fact that Piper suffered from hypertension for years, which caused chronic high blood pressure that may have resulted in clotting.
