Good morning!
We don't get back into the -20s til Friday, so that's a good thing!
It was SO nice having my husband home since before Christmas, I'm sad that he's back to work today...

Hello every1.
It's so cold today, I'm so glad I'm not able to go out. But at least the sun's out
I hope you all have a great day.

G'Day, everyone! Welcome back, DAN!!
Ugh....so cold out there!! It's -16, but thankfully we're heading back up to the barely + temps by the end of the week. For now, I'm hybernating. Which is a good thing, since I'm re-organizing (read: tossing lots of stuff) our dressing room today...and tomorrow...Then, because I have my sewing machine in there, and I want to buy every single article of clothing on the softsurroundings.com site, I'm going to have to pull out some patterns and get some sewing done.
Love this pattern, so I may start with it:...I don't have a border print fabric for this style, and I'd prefer a more suble patterned fabric, and I'd lengthen it a couple of inches, but I do love the look!
Love this, too.......the red styled one...ANYWAY...I do have to finish clearing out that room before I can start sewing. Gr. Work before fun is never fun.
Hope everyone is having a great day!!!!

I feel badly for you east of here who are experiencing WINTER - and here's just an example of what a local media personality posted on her FB
Dear #Toronto. You should hear the gales of laughter coming from #Saskatchewan. Bundle up!!
I know that's not nice; I would never say something like that!
Well, it was odd to not have husband home today; I did miss him - and he ended up freezing his tushie off, worked outside all day. As he said, better these days, than when it gets frigid cold which is coming end of the week.
So, I was back talking to the cats. Actually, dial back two weeks, when my husband was first home for longer than a few days - I'd be in another room, and he'd call out, thinking I was talking to him. I'd say no. Then I realized that I talk to the cats all day, and didn't realize how much until someone else was there to hear it! OY, the crazy cat lady!
One interesting thing about him back at work - he actually had lunch. I always, always encourage him to do so, and he rarely does. However, when he was at home all this time, he had lunch every day here - so I'm hoping he just got used to it, and it's a trend which continues.
Over the last month, he did gain a few pounds, and really needs to put on at least another 10. He just never caught up with the weight he lost when he was hurt at work like a year and a half ago.
Hope all of you have a nice evening!

Good morning!
12 weeks?! The gardening catalogues should be arriving soon! Going up to a balmy -3 today, but still not venturing out. I continue to re-organize our dressing room, do what I can, rest, continue...this weather, particularly the changes in temps, don't do this old body any good at all, so, pacing is the key.
So what's everyone else up to today?
Whatever that may be, stay safe out there!

-17 here, very cold...even for 'southern' Canada
Lynn, that's a great sewing project while hibernating.
I enjoyed scrapbooking yesterday, one of my favourite
things to do, yet it's been over nine months. With all
creative endeavors, it really takes a certain frame of mind.
Similarly, with my scrapbook room, I need to do a major
clearout. It occurred to me over Christmas, when my
21-month old grandson was in there and he was looking
around in utter amazement, with huge eyes like he'd never
seen anything like that before!
Stay warm, everyone.
