    Good morning folks.
Good luck with all those projects ladies. Me, well, mine are all downstairs, and I can't get down there.
That's my story, and I'm sticking with it.
Today's my 'off' day. Absolutely nothing on my to do list, no one coming over, so it's just a lazy, boring day.
I hope you have a great one; just stay warm. (I wish I could get down to my fireplace)

    Mornin', TG!

    Yes, it is:http://butterick.mccall.com/b5954-pr...hp?page_id=147

Here's what clinched it for me: I love just about all the clothes this gal sews for herself, the way she puts outfits together, and here she is with a review of that pattern:
    http://sewing.patternreview.com/review/pattern/116279

I love that site for the thorough reviews these gals post! All you have to do is type in a pattern number in the little box on the top right above "patterns" (which you may have to bring up), and voila! Everyone who ever used it and their pictures wearing the garments!
But you probably knew all that already, right?

Lynn, that's a great sewing project while hibernating.
I enjoyed scrapbooking yesterday, one of my favourite
things to do, yet it's been over nine months. With all
creative endeavors, it really takes a certain frame of mind.
Similarly, with my scrapbook room, I need to do a major
clearout. It occurred to me over Christmas, when my
21-month old grandson was in there and he was looking
around in utter amazement, with huge eyes like he'd never
    seen anything like that before!
    Stay warm, everyone.
OMG, Margy!!! Wait until he's our Grandson's age!! He heads down there and brings up my carousel of fancy scissors, papers (even some expensive ones, lol!), markers, cutters and we do crafts! It's so much fun and yep, he still thinks I'm the best Baba in the world...hahaha!!
Like you, I haven't scrapbooked in over a year, in my case, anyway...just got too busy with other things and of course, with my broken leg a while back, like 22Hicks, I couldn't even get down there. I did a whole baby album of our Grandson and gave it to our DD, then did her entire history in another album and she loves them both. I started doing one of my Parents, all those black and white photos on 'vintage' papers...so cute...and it's time for me to show up, so I really should get back to it and complete that one, too. Don't you find that when you're scrapbooking the house could be burning down and you wouldn't even be aware of it? I get so wonderfully lost when I'm working in my craft-room (ie: my corner of the world in the rec-room)...but wow, can't it get messy in a hurry?!!

I hope you get back there.....have you started a scrapbook for your Grandson?

    Good morning, Hicks!!
Resting is a good thing, although you must be d-o-n-e with that now, right?
Soon, Hon...soon you'll be in physio and getting that leg stronger every day!!

For now, I prescribe rest and wine.

Wine, and rest, and more wine is a good idea.
But you're right, I'm sooooo done with all that. I'm so bored !!!!
I see the surgeon tomorrow, so we'll see what he says. Once I can weight bare, I'll be able to see the light @ the end of the tunnel, but for now, I feel stuck in a dark hole.
    I've been good, so I'm hoping for the next step. (that's 2/3's of a pun - P U ) lol

Oh, it's just got to be time for you to weight-bear. How long has it been?
I have my fingers crossed for you, Hicks....oh, and about the wine? Celebrate AFTER you've seen your surgeon! Wish I could have a glass with you, but I'm not allowed on this diet...but later? I surely will!

    Over 2 months.
But, on my last visit (4 wks. ago) he said probably another 6 - 12 weeks no weight-bearing, so we'll just have to wait and see.

...oh the days I've been tempted to wear my long summer dresses! hahaha!!!

But, success is the best revenge on those foods and wines that got to me over the holidays, and so far, so very good!

But crappity-crap, Hon. It's been so long already....but! I guess that's the benefit of not having surgery or a cast for almost this long. You must really have been borderline surgery/no surgery for your surgeon to be so cautious. Just be a good little trooper and do whatever he tells you to do...wear your big-girl panties and be brave. Good luck tomorrow, Sweetie!

Thanks. As long as he thinks I can heal without surgery, it'll be ok.
A friend is helping in & out of the house, and driving. Thank goodness for good friends.
