I know, right? No reason at all to be up that early since every single day is Saturday! The days of the week mean phhht to us!

I've had my coffees, will make my morning smoothie shortly and continue sewing with my brand new sewing machine I bought yesterday! Yep, I've HAD it with my old one, so out to the street it goes! Or...the dump on the weekend. SO happy! It's a new computerized thingy and oh, my....smooth as silk! So I'll finish my new top today!

Still frigid out there, so no venturing out for me; Hubby may wander into his pool hall for a coffee and a gab with the other old retired guys..

As for everyone else, particularly south of us.....brace yourselves for another storm, stay safe, stay warm! Have a great day...

Do you have have any plans to make it something unique?
You could make a Snow-Chick named Alice & solve world problems over a cigar,
She can be a captive audience while you read her forty pages of your memoir,
You could talk about musical adventures taking you all the that places you can conceive,
You could talk about a peaceful horizon, but you really do have to believe,
You could tell Alice all about yourself & tell her all the things that make you tick,
You could tell her about Smart Canucks & tell her about links that click,
You could tell her that sometimes we human beings can get things so wrong,
You could ask her if she is interested in hearing you lament in a song,
You could ask her if she would like a jacket, one that's psychedelic & groovy,
You could ask her if she would like to be an extra in Smart Canucks The Movie.

I should have said, "electronic"...I think there's a difference, but not sure.
Oh, Hicks, it's so adorable; when I turn it on it "peeps" hello!! The best part is that it has an automatic threader so I don't have to go cross-eyed trying to stuff a thread into an invisible hole in the needle!

I decided against getting one that has embroidery stitches on it because what would I use if for? Golf towels? If I was younger or had a Granddaughter, that would be different; I'd be embroidering all her stuff!! But thankfully we have a Grandson.

YOU must get getting old? You should have seen Hubby and I a while ago: I was doing some hand-stitching on the satin binding on my top, and he was laying out puzzle pieces and the 'easy listening' channel was playing on the tv!!!
Could there BE a more Normal Rockwellian moment??!!!
Now I feel old!!

You can always make me chuckle though, and that was such a cute scene you described of you and your old man. hee hee.
So, I am about to take off again shortly as I want to hit SDM and use my loaded offer of " 3,000 Optimum for $10.00 on food and snacks ". Too bad I already bought milk that would have helped.
However I am tempted to now look for pineapple, angel food cake mix and a tub of cottage cheese thanks to you Lynn!!

As for all that SDM points thingy, although I have no idea what 3000 points are worth, good for you for braving the cold. Are you getting hit by that snowstorm your neighbours in the south are expecting?
And how are you feeling lately...still need that leg brace for pain relief?

Lol...enjoy you pineapple/angel food cake; I stay away from all sweets unless it's store packaged. If it's sitting on the counter or in the fridge, poof! it's gone. No self control....

I just finished sewing my new top and it turned out so cute! Hubby likes it even tho' it's a little 'flowy', lol...he prefers I wear slightly more-figure-hugging (not trashy clingy) clothes because of my cute figure. Lordy!! How can ya not love that in a Hubby?! Must be losing his eyesight, the dear heart.

SO nice to know that you're out and about and mobile - glad things are so much better for you!

You know, it's been such a dreary grey day outside - even though it's decently 'warm' for here - it's amazing how that affects my mood - I def prefer -40 because that means there's lots of SUN!

I received a new sewing machine for Christmas and am happy at how easy it gets through jobs unlike the old one, which I'm going to donate to a 2nd hand shop. I've already put a note on it saying that it needs a tune up lol
