Ask your doctor about Immovane. It's non-addictve prescription sleeping medication. If your use it wisely (as in sporadically) it can get you past those tough nights.

I'm out of mine. I was up til 5:30am yesterday. Ugh!

I only take 1/2 pill, but it's enough to get you to sleep for at least 4 to 5 hours.

Apparently I'm not a good candidate - I took 1/2 once, and was mortified/frozen when I could feel my limbs/body paralyzed, yet my mind was still fully awake. It was extremely scary.

Thanks for all your input. I think it's just stress - can't turn my mind off.
I do have prescription sleeping pills which I got after my dh passed. I've been taking them ever since. Weaned myself off them last year; it took about 6 months. I took 1/2 the other night, but I don't want to get addicted again.
Slept pretty well last night, and without anything.

Dan, I'm glad it's nothing serious. Feel better.

& you can press that like button & set your heart on fire,
You can always just give your true love a little pinch,
I once dated a guy, who didn’t even flinch,
Just as long as someone knows your thoughts are with them,
& you think they are priceless as a sparkling gem,
A kiss, a cuddle & a dinner by warm candlelight,
Or watch TV & eat pizza together as your Valentine’s plight,
