Honestly..it's simple.. phyllo pastry..some mixed nuts..honey...flavourings....

Good day, everyone!!

Brother and SIL are coming in from Cobourg (actually Baltimore) today, so another busy couple of days ahead. Hubby's already making his famous Caesar salad dressing for dinner today...Son-in-Law making his famous baked ziti, lol....just a casual dinner today. Tomorrow will be a little more formal-ish.

Darth, I've made baklava a couple of times, and you're so right: it's dead easy. Did your DD make rose-water syrup, too? I'd have made it this Christmas, but our little Grandson has a nut allergy so...sigh...it'll be a long time coming again, but omg, I could eat a full pan of that stuff! She's going to be very popular back at school!

Well, on the run....have a lovely day, everyone...stay safe if you're driving in the impending snow-storm we're going to all be subjected to overnight and tomorrow!!

A few notations to a poem that I wrote last New Year's Eve,
No quirky advice or suggestions on how you can achieve,
No K-Tel magic moments to help the light to shine,
No maps that need unfolding to help you all align,
You all know the rule of thumb about considering another's feelings,
We also know to be practical when it comes to life & its' dealings,
You may be an animal lover or maybe you're an amazing cook,
Perhaps you danced your way through the seventies & read a self-help book,
Remember the 1980's & did you have one of those shocking perms?
Wasn't there a sappy movie about endearment & its terms?
What did you do in the 90's & did you have Windows 95?
Did you ever think the world could be right there on your hard drive?
Remember all the hoopla about the pending millennium crash?
& are we in the midst of a pace that goes so fast that you almost have a rash?
Now we turn our calendars to a leap year, two thousand and sixteen,
& gone are the days when we would tabulate on a Burrough's adding machine,
Just remember when to take issue & know when it's just time to chill,

Well, I made a list of "to do" things yesterday and found that many of the places I needed to connect with are off today. (Since Boxing Day was Saturday.) I am currently listening to the ice pellets bouncing off the sky-light. So, Ontario, It's Coming!

DH not feeling well, he's back in bed trying to get more rest.

Puppy snuggling up on my lap. I have an appointment tomorrow with the chiro to stop my "head" from spinning.

I think I'm going to find a happy movie to watch.

I've been transferring birthdays and appointments on to our new calendars. A quiet Christmas week kind of activity.

Lol they had 1 more dinner tonight but I'm working. I have 4 days at work and then 3 off. New years eve I'll probably just be home with snacks and stuff. Cousin has big new years eve thing at his house but I don't go. (Usually not invited lol)

@avoncallingu - I hope ur head and your dh are both feeling better soon; not so sure about ur appt. tomorrow. With all the snow coming that they predicted, you might have a problem with the roads. Just be careful.
