We just don't watch hockey unless they're play-off games. Sudden death play-off games.
I'm addicted to the NFL as most of you know, so Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays I'm in front of the TV with my hubby who may wander into the rec-room to watch his college basketball games.
Second on our list would be college football, then college basketball.
But I hope the Leafs do well this year for the sake of their fans...

I have to ask though...why do most born and bred Canadian follow US teams they have no connections to, is this just a case of glory hunting / bandwagon / feel good factor? It's no wonder the CFL is no bigger than it is when Canadians can't even support homegrown teams. I am sure Americans don't follow Canadian teams or watch Canadian shows

Across the pond, you get laughed at if say you are from London, and you are following Liverpool and Manure United. They way it works, people are tied to their local teams primarily, and everything else is just fluff e.g. you like a certain world player, who now plays in a different country league for some local team. E.g. Lionel Messi playing in Spain for Barcelona. You don't all of a sudden become a Barcelona fan

But I know lots of people who have supported non-local teams in EPL going back to the 1980's and 1990's..and were never laughed at..even when they did or do not live close to the respective home grounds..
