I had a craving for that last night too, so a neighbour had picked up some groceries for me, including a loaf of Italian bread. I indulged. I had 3 slices, smothered in cheese. Yum. I haven't had that in awhile, and loved every bite.

Oh Nat. That sounds horrible. What a thing to happen.
I think you dh is going to have to mount it more securely, or build or install something on the floor to support it.
I hope you can get some sleep, and the pain eases considerably.

Well, we only had a 15 blizzard about 5:00 yesterday.
The roads were dry this morning, so I went & picked up my car.
I'm going to run a few small errands before the major storm hits. It's sooooo nice being able to get out.
I'm free …..

Good morning!!!
I didn't realize how long I've been off here, took a while to read back what all you busy people are up to lately!
22Hicks, oh, ain't that the bestest feeling in the whole, wide world??!! That independence again?!! Only someone who's had to be cooped up for a substantial length of time could possibly understand how incredible that feels! So untethered!! Good for you, drive carefully and enjoy, enjoy!!!
Walkonby, Lady, I'm so proud of you and your swimming! Quite the little athlete, you are!! That's going to do your figure a world of good; bet you're feeling very svelte already!
Natalka, goodness, Girl, what experiences you've had lately! How are your bones feeling this morning? Do you still have hurting muscles? What prompted that fall? You poor kid; I hope with every passing day, your ouchies feel better!!!
So much going on!!
Around here, not so much; I've been working on my new painting, but gah...I'm fine doing snow, but footprints in the snow?! Not so much. I think I'll go back to my beach cabanas for now and put those two....I mean...infer those two people who are walking along the beach into it. I'm also craving birds! I thought I woke up hearing them this morning, but nope, must have been something else. So I'm thinking a nice chickadee on a branch. I think they're just the cutest things!!
Glasses: Natalka, thank you, I just checked with my optometrist, and yes, high-index lenses were prescribed, which is a good thing, since I'd otherwise be wearing coke-bottle bottoms for lenses! My double-vision has deteriorated enough to get new lenses, and I did find frames that will hold them and they've been ordered, should take a week for them to come in. They'll be well over $800, but most of it paid by insurance thank goodness! I've also worn progressive lenses for years, and as Walkonby said, getting accustomed to them for the first time particularly walking down stairs was an adventure! They're perfectly normal to wear now.....
So. All caught up, I guess....sorry for the long post. Have a wonderful day, everyone!
Happy March!!
March around here isn't quite as cutie-pie as other "happy March" pictures...sigh....going to take until JUNE to thaw!!

Hey peeps!
Well, I did get some well-needed hours of sleep late this morning, albeit interrupted.
I'm still quite sore - the muscles just are very strained. My husband gave me a good massage before he left for work this morning.
Lynn, it wasn't a total fall - I guess I had leaned on the sink on one corner, and as it broke away from the wall, I went down to my left in a twisted way, probably. Just like when you slip on the ice, sometimes a recovery from an almost fall hurts more than actually landing.
But it is better than yesterday, for sure - but some movements are really limited. I can't squat nor bend over (lol, that sounds odd...).
It's warmer out than yesterday, and the sun is shining - so you all know how mentally that feels SO good - and I like watching the kitties sunbathing in the kitchen!

Hope those of you with snow out East are safe, and are dug out already!
Good morning!
Well, my son messaged me with some odd news yesterday - he lives in the basement of a house, with his two friends (a couple) living upstairs. The city was doing some work in their neighbourhood, or maybe just their street, and something went wrong and their house got a surge of hundreds of volts - left with the possibility of anything which was left plugged in to be fried.
As of last evening, he knew all their surge protectors were fried, and personally his surround sound system was toast. In the house, the furnace needed a new motherboard, and the stove and microwave were dead, same with some lighting. They need to get the whole house's wiring checked.
Now, they need to find out what the city will be doing about it all - how things will get reimbursed, etc.
Gee, how things can just happen out of the blue.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
