Well, Good Morning Kids... Missed yesterday, leg swelled up and foot, probably trying to walk on it too much through a crutch. I have some pictures from yesterday of my pups having their friends over to play. Looks like they'll be coming here from now on, too many politics where they used to go, but our guys enjoy it that they are coming here, and Lennie & Carl are so tired after they all left, On Tuesday there was 25 plus our two here...

^^ woo hoo @22hicks ! Your evening sounded terrific! @Redneck Charger those pics remind me of the phrase God's Country, especially the trees! You'll be back out to your shop before you know it.
Had a scare ( sort of ) furnace stopped early yesterday ( but...ha ha.... I did not notice because I am usually hot ).
Service guy came and said all that occurred was that it was all dusty in there and he cleaned it all out and on it went with np!
We usually book the annual free clean/check up appt. but guess I missed doing t ( should have been in October ).
Still surprised that just dust would stop a furnace from functioning??

Anyways DH will be toasty warm once again.

@Redneck Charger, what a beautiful property you have. It must be great to have all that room to roam around in, in the summertime! As for 25 dogs: HEAVEN!!!

@22hicks, I'm so happy you had such a great time!! In my dreams that I'll ever get to see them perform in person. They used to have a tv special, I think around Christmas, but I don't recall that happening the past few years, unfortunately.

@walkonby, what on earth did your sweet DH DO to deserve such cold abuse from you? Poor guy...give him a BIG hug from me....{{{hehehe}}}

Physio went really well, my flex is now 110, and although my hamstrings are only back to about 50%, my therapist said it's more difficult to regain flex than it is to deal with pain. Pain will go away eventually, but trying to get flex back when scar tissue has invaded the incision deeply is not so easy to deal with. Good thing I kept up my exercises at home!

Just watched the pvr'd Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, Detriot beat the Vikings...all in all..it's been a great day! I'll watch the Detriot parade when I slip into bed later...

Hello folks! US Thanksgiving so I attempted to get a Thanksgiving dinner together for DH and I to celebrate.
Well, the boxed stuffing was, in fact, boxed soup - sort of , as I put in double the water - roasted taters were - well, not really roasted, - Turkey thighs were ok. - gravy was kind of a "let's-see-if-this-will-work" concoction - Carrot cake purchased at Loblaws might save the day. Dear DH complimented me on the love and care that went into it. We used the crystal which I had purchased when we got engaged to toast each other with water and cranberry ginger-ale. The hotpads were ones we had purchased on some of our adventures - in Nova Scotia and Arizona. The dishes were the ones which DH's daughter had bought for him. So it was a "meaningful", if not perfect, meal.
Now we're watching football.
My Sadie Mae had her blood draw done today before her spaying next Thursday. My dear friend has decided for several reasons not to venture out west for Christmas so Sadie will spend it with her "auntie." What a sweetheart she is!
My brother and his wife are welcoming the coach and assistant coach of a Romanian Water Polo team which will play a series of tournaments here in Canada during the next 11 days. My nephew plays on their local team. |My brother and his family are going to be uber-busy organizing the 28 people involved.

They almost couldn't make it as the pilots of their proposed airline had gone on strike on the day they left but they quickly switched airlines and came.

Good Morning Kids...

Well here we are, it's Friday, not sure where this week went, I remember waking up at 10:30 Monday morning, and now it's Friday... Weird how that works eh... and it seems to be getting faster and faster. Thank you for all the compliments on the property, looks a lot nicer in the summer, but we have ways to go till then. We have 15 acres, love it, no neighbors. One neighbor is a mile down the road, the other is 3/4 of a mile, and nobody across the highway from us... I only keep about 3 acres clear, and the rest is bush and forest. Well, Kids, I hope YOU all have the most wonderful Friday ever. And spoil yourselves today...
