Not much today, 2 more nights at work of 8..Our front desk managers last day was sunday. She got a new job but in a few months might be back as our GM if things go well and they offer her something good. I told her if she takes the GM job i'll take the front desk manager job and she said that's enticing lol.

Maybe, she told me I should take the front desk manager job right now but I can't. I can only work nights right now but with enough notice I can move back into town. I'm not near transit and need to get a ride to and from work but the people that give me a ride can only do it at night and first thing in the morning so it's perfect for my night shifts. My cousins mother in law knows the person that owns the apartment building right behind our hotel,lol.

Ok off to bed but yeah would really like to get on day shifts eventually since nights are becoming a bit much sometimes. Front desk manager is like $15/hour but with extra paid vacation time. The GM job I think is $26/hour which I hope she gets.

Cab, that would amazing if you get the front desk job and good for you to get off nights! That has to be hard on the system after awhile. Fingers crossed that things work out for you and you can take it!

Stuffed Chicken, steamed veggies, and Asian Salad at our place tonight
we've got all the meals planed out and whose cooking for the week already...we do up a schedule every sunday night

morning everyone .. did WAY too much thinking not enough sleeping last night. therefore i slept in but a good start.. kids got themselves up this morning. @@ *gasp* I know.. wow. hubby is back to his normal shift today. so glad. i needed this time to myself back. seriously he was leaving at 11:15 before and the one kid was home an hour later. not fun. now i have 7:45-12:30 all by myself. IF i get out of bed on time. LOL

dinner planned home made chicken fingers. maybe mashed potatoes and pepper/zuchinni stir fry. MAYBE pumpkin cake for dessert if i can get to the store.

also a few more things to clean up here. just really REALLY waiting on stores to start shuffling out the xmas stuff to start prepping for my events.

Dan-- morning! how yours day. i really wish i could continually plan means ahead.
Cab- WOW that would be awesome for you to get a day shift. good luck hun i hope everything works out. never hurts sometimes to joke with those higher up a wee bit sometimes.

'Mornin', all.....dreary drizzly day here, but did that stop DH from going out to play 9 holes? Nevah!!
He had to wake up at 5am to take DD to the airport for a conference in Ottawa, and he's been up ever since...AND made our home-made WW veggie soup in the crock-pot before I even woke up at 8am!
I'm about to take wee Jenny to the dog-park to work off some energy (okay...she basically walks around, but it seems to tire her out almost as much as her long walks with daddy)...then to Fabricland to pick up new sewing machine needles, then our flu-shots at 3:30....yep....life is full! LOL!!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day! Cab...good luck on that promotion...Danny-Boy...I've found, through my extensive research, that emails really can wait...btw...may I ask what line of work you're in? Sometimes I feel so out of the loop...

oh Dan around these parts halloween is just meh.. were not 'into' it as much as many. we hand out treats. our kids may dress up to do that. no biggie. whats shocks me is that Nov 1 is the next day. its like crap i forget that every year. than xmas stuff starts. but it always starts a few days before as stores start to get rid of halloween before the day and bring out xmas stuff. but when your planning things a month ahead of xmas it helps to have stuff to do it with.
