I have some men working on our apartment so I took the fur baby over to the dog sitters...as soon as he saw her and the dogs he was like See ya later mom! He will be one exhausted pooch when I pick him up this afternoon!

My goal of the day, which may not be easy - to find a ham. A real smoked ham. To bake. Many grocery stores yesterday, no luck.

Wow, didn't think it was so out of season, they were obviously everywhere at regular Easter. I just assumed they were always in stock!

Going to try a butcher nearby - even if it's expensive, we have a giftcard to use there. We often buy from there anyway, just never a ham.

It is very beautiful! They are at parks, but I have seen a few houses in my area with 1 or 2 in the yard. I know of 2 that have them. The one with the most is in Toronto at High Park, it is gorgeous! I am hoping to go there this weekend for a nice walk with the fiance and fur baby.

Off to the optometrist this morning; my left eye is blurry, like lots of floating bubbles, kind-of scary at this age: you never know what can go wrong next!
DD safely home from her Ottawa conference, both she and hubby at our grandson's school, since he's getting a JK award for "Most Courteous"...lol....too cute.

So glad that you are ok Lynn; that must have been very frightening. We lose a few poor souls on our highway every year because someone goes through the red lights at an intersection.

I know I'm horrible. I don't intentionally ruin surprises but it always seems to happen. DH actually laughed when I asked about the charges. His response was: "I knew you would find out but that was fast even for you". I do banking every Thursday, he knows that. lol

But he only told me the basics - not the whole plan so I'll still have a little surprise.

Good. Lola...Give him the chance to do something wonderful for the Mother of his children on Mother's Day, and the love of his life and wife. OK.

same here, a huge neighborhood sale, plus maybe one out of town. should be a busy day. im just trying to deal with two stubborn guys. but so looking forward to the day alone, plus the weekend.

don't you worry Lola, even us planners/budgets can be totally surprised by our hubbies. at least your hubby is spending MD's with you. mine is spending it with his.. im going to just zip my lips and hope he has something up his sleeve.

Oh....Oh....Is all I'm going to say. Mrs.S I'm sure your DH won't forget about YOU, the Mother of HIS children. He might spend some time with his DM on Mother's Day, but I'm sure his heart is on the wonderful Mother his children has YOU.
