Wondrous smell of cabbage rolls baking - they need to hurry up! I got them in the oven a little late, so we are waiting to have supper until they are done!

Hope everyone is having a superb Saturday - today's the first day it felt WARM - we got to 20 degrees! Mind you, I've had the oven on most of the day, so that hasn't helped...

I can just imagine if I put a candle in mine tomorrow...our grandson
would ask whose birthday it was!
I did the cinnamon rolls today and OMG...this is a new recipe and
they are the fluffiest, tastiest ones I've ever baked!!

such wonderful baking Nat.. im soon to enjoy my last piece of anniversary cake, we froze it..
what a day we had.. we started out at 7 am this morning garage saling, which led to more and more, then out of town to get a few things picked up.
funniest part of the whole day was driving through the 'country' and smelling this awful sulphur smell.. and for some reason it wouldn't go away.. we were all gagging.. until we realized it was the truck ahead of us carrying chickens we think..
i scored some amazing deals. including a Sunbeam mixer. i dont' think it was ever touched let alone used. think 70's. its so nice.
now were contemplating going back to one tomorrow and getting a couch/chair.. wayyyy 50's. its beautiful but man oh man im trying to get into this century LOL.
anyway sitting here chilling with a brown cow and enjoying the evening.

we went out for supper. This is the w/e between P1's,Mr P's and my birthdays. Plus Mother's Day...so we try to do something as a family.

LOL, Lynn - I've been up, just not posting here!

We, too, have lovely weather - should be at least 20 here again today.

Today, YAY, will be more relaxing - no cooking or baking! My feet/legs, hands/arms, and back can do with a break!

I bookmarked that recipe for cinnamon buns; interesting to have pudding in the dough - sad to say I've never made 'real' ones, just the baking powder kind.
My mom made fabulous ones.
Husband loves them, so I really should try making some.

Natalka, I thought it was interesting with the instant pudding in it, too! I have done the BP ones also, but OMG...nothing on earth compares with these! And you can make lovely breads...this would be a breeze!! Let me know if and when you try it...

I'm tempted to give our grandson one of my Mom's lovely Ukrainian Easter eggs....they're carved wood, or marble,...different ones...perhaps he's still too young, although he does love "special" things....

Well, I just got done having a big cry - listened to the tracks I have of my mom and dad singing Easter songs... cried in a good way, you know, but gee... it just never leaves you!
