DH returned crib rail protector that didn't fit...paid $16.81, returned $15.81...I am not driving 30 minutes for $1...don't know if I am more irritated at my DH's inability to see details (this is a fact not an insult) or the problem fingers or eyes of the employee doing the return. I know it is only a $1, but that is my dollar, unearned and pocketed by a company with already overpriced goods. Soooooooo annoyed. Feel better now that I have told people who understand.

Ah, Vee, so the planning fun has begun!
We were lucky with our reception venue - it had a beautiful ballroom, and since we wanted full open bar, we were so lucky to be able to bring in our own booze - saved tons of money that way!
Don't know if that kind of thing is available at places out East in the bigger cities, though.
So, what do you want on the menu?

Fiance will not budge when it comes to food, he wants lots and lots haha He says its #1 in his books...which I agree I want my guests to be full and happy.
We are looking at 4 -5 course meals with a duo meat (chicken and a beef) I am hoping for an antipasto, salad, pasta dish, main course with meats, potatoes and veggies, then I would love if we could include a seafood platter for each table and dessert. A few of the halls I have looked at online have these type of packages. Also later on in the evening there will be a sweet table and of course a roast pig or two lol can't have a Serbian wedding without a roast pig lol if I cant have the seafood platter for dinner we are also thinking of a seafood buffet a few hours after dinner...so we will see what our options are.
My goal is to have the hall reserved by mid June - I already called one and they were book up for 2 years!

I am actually hiring a planner, but it will be a month of planner - so I do all the planning up until the month of my wedding and she takes over ( I do have a few meetings and unlimited phone and emails with her prior to the one month mark)- makes sure everything goes smoothly and she is there the day of my wedding bc I do not want to deal with anyone or anything except having a good time!
