Good morning everyone

I am super happy the potty training days are over here LOL. All I really remember was how expensive it was having two in diapers at the same time.

Good luck to those of you doing toilet learning! We lucked out with our son, he was done just after his second birthday - back in the day you could get these padded underwear, so they don't feel like they are wearing a diaper, like pullups do, but catch accidents. It was nice, too, because it coincided with him moving into a real bed, so he could get up to use the biffy at night if he had to.
It's hard work, to keep taking a child to the bathroom all the time, and being consistent - but it sure pays off to get it done sooner!
Hoping you will learn the frugality of brownbagging your lunch, and doing more cooking at home once you are out on your own!
I know once my younger brother was living alone, takeout and fastfood soon lost its charm when he realized how much money he was wasting. Then I'd get the call on "how exactly do you roast a chicken?"
Cabbie, I know you can cook, you just need to make more time for it - and think of your health, too.
(Mom speech over...)

lola - yes, this is getting super freaky lol!
we did a valentine craft this morning...yes, i'm early BUT there's just so many fun craft things to do with little ones. the ontario early years center has a satelite program here, gonna take the girls to that at 1pm. hopefully my dd2 behaves. afternoons are usually a bit rougher because she absolutely refues to nap even though she's tired. *sigh*

Ahh shussh, lol. No actually I cook a lot. Just sometimes like to order lunch or dinner on days off sometimes and only on my days off and not every time either. I am inviting a bunch of people I used to work with to my new apartment for dinner in the week or so after I move in. I will make lasagna, meatballs with bbq sauce and salads.

I'm doing these with DD for Valentine's Day. Just picked up the Tootsie Roll Pops today (7 for $1). Same price as just buying the store bought paper ones, plus DD gets to do a craft and the kids get a little sucker.
Not sure what I'm going to do with DS yet though, he's pretty young. Dont want to give candy to his classmates. Maybe just paper cards for him...

good for you Cabbie.. i just hope once your in your new place it doesn't push you into fast meals.. def. look into a crockpot. take some time on a weekend to cut up veggies or meats and set aside dinner 'bags' in the fridge.. throw it in the pot and by the time you wake up or get home from work. voila dinner.. even if you don't have a crockpot. you can do the same with the bags.. just makes dinner easier when everything is ready.
anyway.. sitting here just waiting have to pick up some butter and of course no one has any one sale... plus im supposed to look into the price of boots as my hubby thinks my kids need them.. um im really hoping that we won't need boots. i know its only january.. and its sunny out. dang it.. can't i just laminate the boxes.. they have huge feet. thankgoodness there are sales out there now that the next season is around the corner.Be Strong

Its weird though I like to watch these competitive eaters on youtube. I just watched a video where these 2 guys ate ihops entire 7 for $7.00 menu(they have 7 items on menu for $7.00 each) then to top it off ate every item on the dessert menu.
