Good morning, everyone!!
Looks like winter's landed and planning to stay for a while; got a big dump of the crap yesterday, lots of blowing crap, big winds overnight and Hubby's shoveling us out again, and will probably have to blow out the driveway. He asked me if I still wanted to go to Fabricville, but....it's cold out there!!! It's supposed to be milder tomorrow, but really......cold is cold no matter what the temperature is. I'll have a coffee and decide, but..........okayyesIhavetogo! There are a couple of fabrics I'm missing and it's such a great sale!!!! GAH!!
The kids, thank God, arrived home last night after a far longer drive than it should have been..down to 40km on the highway, in a convoy, but at least they're home safe.
Nat, so yucky about your back, but thank goodness your Hubby is there to help you so much. When my back is out I don't want anyone within ten feet of me....don't backaches hurt so much, though!! Poor Walks sure has a difficult one to deal with right now, too.
Hicks: how are you doing putting a little weight on that leg? Do you trust it, yet? Lol!! I know it took me a while to believe I could actually use my leg again without it snapping once again! Take it easy, there's no where to go, nothing to do but get well. And you don't want to go out there anyway, right? Just little steps....
Well...off to enjoy a cuppa. Just woke up, actually...our Grandson is absolutely wonderful to have around but BUSY! This old lady needs a day to recuperate!
Take care, everyone!!!

Happy to hear your DD got home safe & sound. Geez I hate winter !!!
The silver lining in having a broken leg, I can't go out; such a shame - NOT.
We didn't get much snow, but those winds are wicked. Later today, we're suppose to get 5 - 10 cm, and more over the next two days. I wish I had someone to clear out my snow. The city will do it, but not for 24 - 36 hours after it's stopped. A lot of good that does me. The steps are treacherous, and the ploughs just keep piling it up @ the end of the driveway. Nurse, physio, and dog walker all complaining that they can't get in. They're not allowed to park on the street either.
Can't wait for spring !!!
Oh, my leg is so so. It's still so swollen, and hurts like crazy, but I'm trying to do my exercises, and put a little weight on it, but it's not as easy as I thought it would be. Oh well, one day @ a time. I'll get there.
Have fun shopping for those fabrics. With the sale, bet you'll come home with more than you're actually going for. lol

Welcome to a Monday that I would consider brisk & glacial,
A good day to spend at the spa, where you can get a facial,
I’m sure skiers are dancing & defogging your goggles,
Val can’t even think in winter, as it causes me mind boggles,
Ice Scrapers, shovels & anti-freeze all part of our winter gear,
We lament about this season even though it happens every year,
No one likes being stuck in traffic especially when it’s at a halt,
One of the worst things about winter here, is boot ru-in-ing salt!
Hockey is good, so is sleigh riding as bells take you to the chalet,
We had grin & bear it as they say in that old cliché,
I suppose that pins & needles cold always hits us with a jolt,
& if it were at all possible, I’d be planning a winter revolt,
The season of dry & frizzy hair that is caused by central heating,
The season where memories of summer become distant & so fleeting,
Suck it up with a stiff upper lip & engage in weather talk,
At least this weather makes for faster runs, when you go round the block.

Good evening, all!!
Well, 22Hicks....you discovered what I did last year: it's not easy to begin walking, and personally, I didn't trust that leg for the longest time, either. Isn't it so discouraging that it takes so long to heal and get back to some semblance of normal after a leg break?! I'm still not back to normal, but losing weight is helping, but that's not your problem, so you'll do just fine in good time. Soldier ahead, or as my Hubby would say, "Cowboy up!".
As for fabric, um....yep. I bought 3 new patterns, 3 different fabrics, 2 sets of needles ($11 each now!!), thread to match each of them. Adds up! Hubby was impressed that only took me a half hour!
Walkonby, how did your massage treatment go? I hope it brought you some relief...and that you're resting now.
Hicks is right, this winter nonsense is just grinding on my last nerve. I really dislike this season with all my being! And I bet with all the seniors out there now, slip and fall injuries are on the rise. Phhht. Phooey.
Have a lovely evening and sweet dreams, everyone!!

Taking a couple weeks off work. Using vacation pay and some savings. Need to rest up. Pretty small place here with one 6 screen movie theatre. Didn't realize back in October they started doing matinees every Tuesday which is $5 movie day. Usually matinees are only weekends or any holidays or during summer break. Maybe tomorrow at 12.40pm will be a good time to see star wars lol.

^That pic is so true, especially today!
hicks, great attitude you have, sure hope you see more progress soon!
walkonby, if you drop by - hoping things are better for you!
My back is mostly better, sciatica is up to a medium - so that's okay.
My son messaged me with a huge list of things which had gone wrong for him today both at home and at work, and it was quite the list - but ended with somehow he said he was in a great mood at the end of the day; that's my boy, how I love him!
Hope everyone has a restful evening!

With my luck if I go see star wars at 12.40pm Tues. That's when all the stay at home moms(or dads ) bring their 5 year olds to the movie.
