Well it is only Monday don't fret, don't frown or fuss,
There are some famous things about Monday that we can discuss,
Were you born on a Monday & are you full of grace?
But, there are the times when you need a bit of calm breathing space?
Did you know Eddie Murhpy, Tina Fey & Cher are all Monday alumni?
& from what I've heard about Monday folk, they all seem pretty spry,
First thing Monday Morning is a time that can be quite daunting,
Maybe a bit of Monday Madness is worth the effort of flaunting,
Monday ends the weekend, but it also begins the week,
With your best Monday motivation, just turn the other cheek.
Have a nice day...........Love Loocie
xx

I guess it's been noted that I tend to be quite brief in my posts...**ahem ahem Lynn and Walks***
here we go...as some of you may know
"...I’m quite keen on comic books. Especially the ones about superheroes. I find the whole mythology surrounding superheroes fascinating.
Take my favorite superhero, Superman. Not a great comic book, not particularly well-drawn, but the mythology. The mythology is not only great, it’s unique. Now, a staple of the superhero mythology is, there’s the superhero and there’s the alter ego.
Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When that character wakes up in the morning, he’s Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man. And it is in that characteristic Superman stands alone. Superman didn’t become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he’s Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red “S,” that’s the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears – the glasses, the business suit – that’s the costume. That’s the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent? He’s weak, he’s unsure of himself, he’s a coward. Clark Kent is Superman’s critique on the whole human race. Sorta like Beatrix Kiddo and Mrs. Tommy Plympton…"
I think that's enough for now...maybe more some other time...

@Lynn49 - I'm so sorry to hear about your brother, and so sorry that you did get a chance to see him before he passed.
My sincere condolences. Remember, he'll always be with you.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I wanted to say hello to all you good folks. It's just beautiful here.
I spent most of today at the marine museum and hospital.
This was Sunday's sunrise.

Thank you, @22hicks . We were minutes from leaving for Peterborough hospital when my SIL called to tell us we were too late. We went back to camp again that day to be with the kids and our friends there.
We leave for Cobourg on Thursday morning for his funeral, and his Celebration of Life on Friday.
It has all happened so fast, all so unexpected, it's still hard to believe he's gone,
Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts, your prayers ... losing a little brother is so difficult to come to terms with...he was rushed to the hospital on their 35th anniversary, and passed away on July 21st: his birthday.

Good early morning, everyone.
We were up at 5:30 so that I could drive my hubby to the airport for his flight to Toronto; he was scheduled to have his stitches removed from his 5 basal cancer areas, but this morning we found the email the airline sent us last night: flight canceled!!!! So, he'll go to a clinic here to have them removed and phone there to have his biopsy reports sent to our family doctor here. They offered another flight, at 11am, but he had the last appt today at 10:45am, Women's College, so that didn't do him any good.
Today we'll prepare for our trip on Thursday.
Have a sweet day today, everyone, try to stay cool, stay safe.
