We've lost another. George Michaels died suddenly today at the age of 53.

Back here after a few hours, hoping to head to bed to get a few hours of sleep soon.
Had to bake some crescent rolls, as we have no bread - and yet the fridge is stuffed full!
Milan was over last night, and he'll come back again tonight - oh, my heart is full; three days in a row!
Loaded him up with food last night, and I'll do the same again tonight - different types of food and goodies!
No real cooking tonight - it's mostly reheating and some transforming.
Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Hello folks!
Have friends coming today but they are delayed because of freezing rain in Kitchener-Waterloo. The freezing rain has turned to rain but the roads will be dicey for a couple of hours in the country where they live. Temp is up to 3 and heading to something like 7.
Very quiet and nice Christmas Day here. I roasted a leg of lamb and we had mashed potatoes, turnip and peas.
I had to make my mint sauce with vinegar and the mint from a peppermint teabag - I can see Walks and Lynn wincing now- but it actually was fine.
Now to prepare for the visit from DH's daughter and family. Wrapping and some more shopping.
Toddler-proofing.
Can't wait! Apparently the kids have been stretching their minds thinking of things to do to make the time go faster until they come.
Well, time to get dh his meds and start the day!
Happy boxing day!
Natalka- I loved your picture with the cats!!!

A happy boxing day to everyone!!!!
Can you believe we did some shopping today? ONLINE, however! DH and I decided to get a Kieurig for our trailer for the summer, so I checked out WM and their K200Plus is on sale for $68, so we ordered it to save him going there on a day like today!
@Darth Penguin....what wonderful news!! I love Christmas miracles!! I hope your Hubby is home soon!!
@avoncallingu...Honey, whatever floats your boat...even if it is peppermint teabag mint sauce!! Very inventive! Have a wonderful visit with your DH's family!
@walkonby, wow, a whole year to prepare your next Christmas menu; good thing, too...it took you almost that long to compile that list, and cook & bake!! Is everyone still home and resting today?
Yesterday was a joy, that's for sure....and DH and I ended up playing "Jackbox" games until midnight! Love the drawing and fibbage ones! We'll be back for more very soon...they're such fun to be with.
In a few days we'll be babysitting an 18 week old lab puppy...can't wait!! And Christmas eve, we'll have our GS and his friend, who's visiting the kids with his parents over New Year's Eve, when they'll all be attending a stag & doe.
So busy days ahead!!
I hope those of you who can, are relaxing, and those of you who are still busy, take time to relax for just a little while..

hee hee!! @avoncallingu .....When I read THIS in your last post: I had to make my mint sauce with vinegar and the mint from a peppermint teabag - I can see Walks and Lynn wincing now- but it actually was fine.
Too creative!! But necessity IS the Mother Of invention right??
Oh everyone sounds like they have had a fab time over the holidays so far. @22hicks , I am drooling over the thought of that chocolate fondue you had today!! @dededi the sweet pics you post are always so adorable and uplifting! @Natalka you brimming over with joy at having plenty of visiting time with your DS!!
@Lynn49 The workload would have been less stressful if I had JUST stuck to the original menu I had made up at first....but no! I had to go second guessing myself and tweaking everything.
I am grateful to have very few leftovers now. Sent 2 guests home ( DS and DS ) with a few containers each. Always tastier the next day.
DH and I are about to watch the Canada Juniors game.....have a great evening all!!Last edited by walkonby; Mon, Dec 26th, 2016 at 06:56 PM.
