YEs i did finally get my points back...I even told them they had no limit posted...17 is not excessive....I agree with limits but to say to me I am more then able to buy more of the nivea but without the coupons...that is crazy....they just did not like me getting it free and earning the points...i even asked customer service where in the policy does it say you cannot do this....they had no answer for me but gave me my points back and reinstated my card....
Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you – not because they are nice, but because you are.

Lately I believe it is not only SDM, but all other stores all care about the coupon usage. SDM has the advantage of tracking our purchases since we wanted the optimum points. Even Walmart complains about the coupons, when you get products with good deal with coupons, it is a easy target to be ged. The moment cashiers noticed you got a good deal, they start to contact CSM to ask if that is possible. It is very annoy.

in my opinion shoppers encourages us to buy more ,, spend $100 get points,, buy 1 deodorant $5.95, buy 3 $3.99,each, and if i have a coupon cheap deodorant if u compare it to the regular price. no i dont need 3 large bottles of mouth wash but if i buy it i get 1000 pts. heck they even call me by my first name when they phone to let me know about a secret event LOL. back to back promo's.. cheapest milk to get us in the door.. selling the gift cards with the promotional 8000 pts will certainly make november look like a booming month for the share holders , but oops redemption in dec . i think its just all a game,, and shoppers hasn't a foggy idea on how to play..

I agree that limits need to be set and its not fair to freeze peoples accounts if no limits were set. Yes they have promos of buy 3 get a better deal etc..but...they aren't suggesting that someone buy 100 of them. They need to make sure that people are not taking advantage of promos and points for their own benefit, store owners, etc..its against there policy..so yes they need to watch for this and f.l.a.g accounts that seem suspicious. I think from now on anyone that wants to buy large quantities of an item, even when limits are not set, need to do so at their own risk and knowing what they know now can't blame shoppers if one day their accounts a frozen.

I agree with you to some extent on that....how can they say 17 Nivea was too much with a coupon and yet have no limit without the coupon....why is it that people were able to buy 500 chocolate bars are 200 wipes and not have this happen....they neeed to be consistant with limits..not wait until after someone has bought something let them walk out the door and then afterwards say hey you got to good a deal so we are takining that away ..where is the limit in that?Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you – not because they are nice, but because you are.

in my shoppers drug mart they usually allow to buy 6 to 8.even if there is not any limit posted.it also depends on the cashier to who you are going to face...some times they allow me to buy as many as i want...when dove visible care coupons were out i do remember my favorite cashier allowed me to buy 18 in one transaction and had no problem...i used dove coupons to and also got 1500 point for every 3 dove products.

I agree 100%, but unfortunately i doubt that will ever change so thats why i will take precaution and not buy large quantities, i think anything under 10 will be safe..it sucks but thats just the way it will be for me as far as shoppers is concerned. I still do love the points program and will continue to shop there, just no large purchases of 1 item for me. I guess its a loss for them until they decide to make some changes within there program.

In absence of good policy, process, systems - Shoppers seems be substituting the odd policing of Optimum members.
The only time I ever bought high multiples of an item was the chocolate bars and that was because it was before Halloween. It is bizarre that Shoppers allows the purchases and then penalizes people later.
