I am allergic to peanuts too. If you think you are don't eat anymore. Food allergies can escalate quickly and a minor reaction can turn into a severe one after only a few exposures.
You should not worry about other nuts because they are not in the same family. I eat all other nuts.

Peanuts are not the same as tree nuts (almonds, cashews, walnuts, etc.), which grow on trees. Peanuts grow underground and are part of a different plant family, the legumes. Other examples of legumes include beans, peas, lentils andsoybeans. If you are allergic to peanuts, you do not have a greater chance of being allergic to another legume (including soy) than you would to any other food
This is what drives me crazy about schools and peanut allergies. They are so uninformed and just ban all peanuts and nuts without realizing it's like apples and oranges.Last edited by Patty Smyth; Mon, Sep 23rd, 2013 at 09:07 AM.

So here is the Good Food "Box" that I paid $15 for. It comes with a recipe too. This month was roasted cauliflower (good thing because the cauliflower is MASSIVE). They say it is $25 worth, I was thinking closer to $20 (but I don't buy organic at the store because it is usually more expensive, and I didn't factor that into my price). Thinking a really good deal then!!! Saving $, buying locally and organic (most items not bananas obviously), AND takes the thinking out of shopping. Will probably get again for next month."There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

Granger that is a fantastic deal, you also have to figure in impulse buys at the store that you won't be doing when it is delivered. Convenient too!!
I had an awful dieting week and i am up 1.5, I spent way too much time sitting this week as I am finishing up our year end bookkeeping and was glued to the computer all week.Almost done though so i am hopeful I have energy next week to get outside more and enjoy the fall weather! Good luck this week everyone.

I am down 1 yay lol small victory but better than that my dad got his drivers license for another year so that's a bit of pressure off me. It has been hellish waiting around for him to take this test and it was this morning and he passed no problem. Too bad the biatch at the eye clinic screwed up his field vision test in the first place or this never would have happened.

Maybe I have been putting more than a " dollop " of sour cream in my borsch soup every time I slurped a bowl, most days I had two of them. tee hee....have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Still struggling to get back on track...one more distraction, and I'll be back...no point in frustrating myself when I know I have no intention of sticking to it the next day or two....Congratulations to you wonderful losers!!
