Costco has monthly flyer deals advertised just before the month begins.
Plus weekly treasure hunt deals, advertised Monday morning.
They also have weekend treasure hunt deals, sent to your email if you subscribe.

18 pack Nestle drumstick cones, reg. $19.99, weekend price= $15.99
compared to No Frills, 4 cones=$7.99. 18 would be $35.95
With all these vanilla fudge and vanilla caramel cones, we are ready for summer

Plus, taking a lesson from @coupon girl , bought some Christmas stocking stuffers
Kirkland Signature men's trail socks, $23.99 (online), warehouse price $4.97/4 pack
Kirkland signature women's trail socks, $22.99 (online), warehouse price= $9.97/4 pack

This seems like it's only a fair comparison if I have to buy them now. Otoh, if I'm able to wait for a sale somewhere. how much would 18 cost?

No Frills shop today, used 13 coupons and really planned the shop well before leaving the house with my list of instructions and coupons:

Bought 6 Special K Nuts & Grain Granola bars $2.99 each = $17.94 minus 3 coupons buy 2 save $3.00/$9.00 = $8.94 minus Checkout 51 Buy 2 Kellogg's Snacks get $2.50 x 3 = $7.50. Total $1.44 for 6 boxes of granola bars or $0.24 per box of 5 bars. Received 6000 Optimum points (3000 points per $9.00 spent on Special K bars and pop tarts that I bought 1 box $3.49 minus $1.00 coupon to reach over $18 spent) = all these products were free plus I made $4.56 in Optimum points.

    Bought 2 boxes Kellogg's Mini Wheats $5.49 each = $10.98 minus coupon buy 2 save $3.00 = $7.98 minus Checkout 51 $2.00 (only 1 offer) = $5.98 for 2 boxes of cereal or $2.99 per box.

Bought 12 boxes of Quaker Chewy Granola bars @ PC Optimum member price of $1.49 each = $17.88 minus coupon buy 3 Quaker products get 1 free $5.96 = $11.92 for 12 boxes or less than $1.00 per box.

    Becel margarine block in a box bought 2 @ $4.99 = $9.98 minus $1.50 and $2.50 coupons = $5.98 minus 1000 Optimum points = $4.98 for 2 x 1lb margarine.
Thank you to all the Smart Canucks who post your deals with explanations so that the rest of us can copy your strategy - your are very helpful to those of us who are still learning!!

Another seemingly unannounced sale at RCSS. NoName pasta selling 900g package for $1. 50 cents/pound is just too good to pass. I don't know if this is only in my region. I bought another 30 packages.

I think I figured out why RCSS did the sale. The promo limit is ONE, but I saw folks buying multiple packages. RCSS probably expects customers (victims) to not notice how much they paid after the first discounted package; they almost got me.
