Start with a wire wreath frame (this one is 18 inches in diameter, but you can use any size). Then wrap a string of lights around the frame, making sure to leave enough slack to reach the plug; otherwise use an extension cord.
Or, use battery powered lights.

Anybody got their tree up yet???? I have NEVER, EVER put it up before December 15th, but I've been thinking. I love Christmas, it's my favorite holiday of the entire year, but it always seems soooooooo short! So, yes folks, you heard it straight from the horses mouth, I'm thinking up putting my tree up tomorrow or the day after. I just feel in the mood, and I LOVE decorating Christmas trees.
I've been doing some skulking around various websites and found some really amazing tree topper ideas. I've got a beautiful angel, but I think I'm going to step it up a notch this year. I'll post the pictures as I go along.
What's does everyone thing of these new styles of tree toppers? I'm still going to use my angel, just jazz it up.
We all need a little sunshine every now and then

no worries Holly.. go ahead. my white one is already up in my dining room.. covered in red ornaments only.. looks so pretty.
and i just put up my half green tree in my living room. not decorated yet.. (watching amazing race first) will be decorating it in red and golds... and yes i'd really like to try something different on it too.
