So I was not one of the ones to see Ender's Game, My DH and 2 sons went but one main reason I did not go was because of this awful zero out of five stars review in The New York Daily News, which in part said this
On the dark side of the moon, where awful cult sci-fi and fantasy adaptations are buried, there’s a special cave for “Ender’s Game.” This movie of a 1985 outer-space military allegory is one of the dullest, dumbest, most tedious movies this year. It makes “Battlefield: Earth” and “John Carter” look like “The Godfather” parts 1 and 2. “Dune” is “Lawrence of Arabia” next to this thing.
Audiences of all ages, avoid it. Brain cells are too valuable.
So I was nervous to take a chance on it and waste one of my free Scene Admissions.
Next time I will ignore that particular critic. It seems all 3 of my guys loved it! Said it could easily have been a 3 hour flick, they left so much out compared to the book, but the kicker was today reading that it topped box office sales! lol!!!
'Ender's Game' on top with $28 million;
Oh and what was really cool was going online to buy and print their three free Imax tickets, ( $18.00 a piece tickets, wholly moly!!, we never go to those types of theatres to earn Scene points ) They got to pick the actual seats they would be sitting in!! First time I did that too. DH loved that part, no rushing to the place and finding out all that is left is front row seats. lol

Thor!!!! I loved it! ok I did enjoy it very much for a few reasons. It was at the huge screens, ( AVX?? I forget what they call it) and reserved seating AND free!! with my Scene points. Hemsworth is the perfect Thor, but the bad guy, ya always love the bad guy. 10 out of 10

The Croods... so glad I got it free from the library rather than wasting $xx.xx on it at theatre. The users of IMDB gave it a 7.3/10. I thought that rating was far too generous. I give it a 3/10. Ugh.
However... we also watched The Bad News Bears (1976). We decided that it was time to introduce the children to it so they finally could understand what we mean whenever we tell them that they're playing like the Bad News Bears. They thought it was fantastic. 8/10

Watched Mr. Popper's Penguins last night on YTV - surprized it was on because it is only two years old.
It was FAB! The penguin CGI was really well done, and Jim Carrey rocked the role -
awesome family movie - 8/10

catching fire 7/10
I liked the first one better and I've also read the books. So the movie was a little different like always. Jennifer Lawrence was amazing though.
