sending you prayers and good thoughts for great results this week. I went through something similar several years ago and the 10 days I had to wait were pure h**l.
We're all here to listen to you if you need to chat, rant, vent and we are ready for when you get your good results!

Thinking of you ninna, sending you positive thoughts. The waiting part is very hard but stress is not good either. I'll be thinking about you on Tuesday.

Sending prayers and positive thoughts. (hugs)
My friend`s Mom fought breast cancer at 76, then brain cancer at 82, skin cancer at 85. She died at 95 from a stroke, the year before she had had a hip replacement and was booting along within weeks.

I was in the same boat a few months ago... Had the mammogram, then was called back for a second mammogram because they wanted to re-check an area on my breast.
I know how nerve racking that phone call and wait can be (mine just turned out to be nothing, maybe a shadow, as someone told me (cant remember if its the technician or dr)), so dont feel badly asking your DH or friends for support. In times of uncertainty, that is the least you can ask for. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Awwww shucks. I really am so overwhelmed you guys!! Such kindness here that it brings tears to my eyes.
I will keep you posted. Tomorrow I see my doctor...and we will go from there. DH has taken the day off work for moral support. I really am so blessed to have all of you in my life."Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken." Oscar Widle

Hi ninna,
I just noticed your thread. If you need to talk, I just came through this over the last few months, with an early diagnosis. I also had treatment in London (from Windsor). I've come through treatment and am considered cured, albeit with monitoring yearly. I pray it is all nothing, but you are in awesome hands in London. Are you at the breast care clinic at St. Josephs? I had Dr. Saettler there. I hope you have awesome results tomorrow and it is nothing.

Hi everyone!
As I'm sure you can tell from the updated title with the smiley face, I'm feeling pretty good after seeing the doctor today.
The mammogram and ultrasound both turned up NOTHING! But...apparently if I want more precise results, I would need to to do a thermal mammogram (not covered under provincial health care) because there is a density issue that interferes with the accuracy of the mammogram results in my case...meaning the tissue is very dense which makes it hard to see abnormalities if they are there. So there could technically still be something there that just can't be seen. Thermal mammorgram would catch what normal mammogram can't.
So there doesn't seem to be anything there but that doesn't explain the thickness and the soreness. Doctor thinks the soreness is the result of injury to my pectoral muscle (which happens also to be on that side where the thickening was) but because it doesn't seem to have a rhyme or reason to when it aches it could also be hormonal. Basically I have to start tracking everything for a few months to see if we can narrow down the cause of the ache...but she also said it's a positive thing if I am aching because cancer doesn't feel sore.
What a big relief. Thanks so much to all of you for your kind and encouraging thoughts these past few weeks. You have no idea how much just sharing it with you calmed me down and made me feel strong enough to face the unknown.Last edited by ninna; Tue, Jul 15th, 2014 at 02:19 PM.
