We have quite a large garden at my parent's place which saves us a bundle of money each year. But they are a 15-20 min drive away, so I grow all our salad veggies in a raised bed beside our garage. The peppers are growing like crazy this year, as are the cherry tomatoes!

    Very nice Mrs S.
I need new coaches too, but it will have to wait for at least another year.

LO had a rough night last night. He was up crying multiple times, but I don't really know why. He was thirsty one time, maybe some bad dreams or his tooth bothering him again. He started his day at 6:30am and is currently down for his nap. We visited our neighbour across the street. LO loves playing over there, but I was hoping to get some more work done in the garden. We could see and hear her children in their driveway, so plans changed. She is 4.5months pregnant with baby #4. Her and the dad split up, but it wasn't a healthy relationship. I brought over 2 boxes of cereal for her and she gave me cucumber, 3 small zucchinis, and a bag of lettuce from her mom's garden. Her parents had been in BC for the last week and she was taking care of the place for them. She said that if she had known that my zucchinis hadn't grown this year (still no produce), she would have picked a bunch specifically for me. *shrug* I didn't know she was out at the farm every day this week.

Anyway, tomorrow if the garage and bake sale fundraiser. Over the last month I have sold $65 of stuff for this fundraiser, so that is covering most of the float money. I baked some coconut oatmeal cookies with real butter, just have to wrap and label them. About 6 families have dropped off stuff for the sale this week. I have it advertised on the radio, posters at the mall, garagsalejunkie.ca, and I will be posting pictures of it tomorrow on both garagesalejunkie.ca and the local garagesale Facebook pages.

edit: I forgot to add that I just finished calling some companies and requesting coupons. I made a word document last year that I have been continuing to add to. This way I can keep track of when I requested coupons, when they arrive (or didn't arrive and call the company back), and when I can call again to order more. I just added more companies to my list that I now know how often to call back for more coupons.

What had happened was while we had no income, we were buying as many groceries as possible from SDM with points - ours doesn't have fresh produce - but bags of free frozen veggies were pretty much all we were living on.

This year we didn't plant a garden, but sure will next year.

Those who have filled out the cppd applications know how long they are right....like 15 pages....Timothy just peed on the front seat of my car where they were sitting waiting to be mailed. I want to cry.

Natalka, you are one great problem solver! All we have room for in our new home is a planter with a Roma Tomato plant. (That I got at a clear-out for $1) I t has produced about 4 tomatoes every few days. Just perfect for us. I am on the "build up" stage of SDM points at the moment. Frozen veggies are supposed to be as nutritious as fresh but there's nothing like fresh veggies when you can get them!

    Good Evening Everyone,
    Great job MrsS.

Wrote a grocery list but still have not decided if I want to go out tomorrow or not. Turns out mom does not have to work which is tempting me to just stay in.

Hope everyone has a great evening.

If it is any consolation. Not one...but both of my toddlers fell asleep and peed their car sets yesterday...same bat time, same bat channel. Those things are a beotch to clean!!! The one that is potty trained and wearing undies...fine accidents happen...the one wearing a pull-up...darn you billion dollar company!!!
