Poor Jenny...

Jerny had diarrhea this morning and is very listless...she's asleep on my lap and barely lifted her head when I unwrapped a lozenge. Usually she's not as composed at that.
We're only providing her with water and kibble, but so far she hasn't had either. If she has the runs again we'll give her 2cc of Pepto, as well as rice and rice water.
She hadn't been outside before her tummy problem, nor had breakfast, nothing unusual at night...I hope she gets better soon...I'm a worrier....

as WOB says.. she'll be fine mom.. your taking good care of her. one step at a time.
she's been busy taking care of watching over mom. takes alot to make sure her best friend is ok too.

Thank you everyone....lordy, how we worry about our babies...at least I sure do! At the least little thing! Although truth be told, that dump she took on the floor was anything but little! Poor critter.
She's walking around now and was barking at someone on the street who didn't get her memo to stay off her street...she does have a busy time of it..what with patrolling the street and taking care of me...
Walks, no, I just googles poopy doggies and found that information; I hope I don't have to go that far, and that she gets better for her mommy...

As for jigs, Sunshine....not quite yet. I did manage to go down and up those treacherous 4 stairs this morning, even though I was clutching at the handrail for dear life...and putting about a split-second's worth of time on that repaired leg of mine, but it's getting there. The only problem now is strength. I've lost most of my muscle-tone on my thigh, knee, calf, ankle, foot...yep, pretty much all of it! Exercises help, so I persevere. Beautifully.

Thanks again...I worry at the drop of a hat (or poop) over her....

Oh poop Jenny! How we worry about our fur babies! At least we can complain when we have tummy troubles, our fur babies can't. Amazing how much poop can come out of their little bodies. Quite impressive really, haha! We all know that Jenny is in the best of care with Mommy hovering over her. Feel better little girl!

Oh, whew! It's SO nice to be able to panic over a little fur baby where everyone understands how that can move us. Jenny only had another dribble, thankfully outside thus time...mom tidied her up and whatever went through her has left her pretty....I was going to day, "pooped", but I'll just say, "exhausted".

Thank you, Ladies....I took a few pics of her the other day...I'll post them when I get back on the big computer.

Sue, she's still the princess you remember....maybe more so, lol, but she's been such a little nursemaid to me...I owe her SO many nice long fall walks!

Oh no, no, no...send her bo-bos to me, I'll take them for her and you too for that matter. Oh I hate to hear about your little angel not feeling well, is she doing better today? Is she doing her Jane Fondas? Sending well wishes and please keep up posted, hope you and DH are doing well too, please do not worry, we feel like that sometimes and then we get up the next day back to same old same old. Take care little Jenny, you have a wonderful mommy and daddy and take the time you need to rest.

Thank you, Oscarandme.....well, between her poopy problem and my no-sleep because of a drug reaction for the past couple of months, she and I hit the sack last night and woke up in the exact same positions we were in when we fell asleep! I think we were comatose all night!
Sleep is a blessing and we both needed it....she 's back to herself, prancing around, using her stairs to get up to her window chair and barking her warnings that she's back and patrolling her street again.

Oh no, I just came across your thread. Poor Jenny & poor Lynn.

If she still has an upset tummy, don't give her her regular kibble. Stick to well boiled rice (just keep adding water & boiling it off until the rice is like paste), for her size about a teaspoon an hour. A day or 3 without proper meals is fine, it's dehydration you have to worry about. So make sure she is drinking. There are little tricks you can use to get her to drink - add tuna "juice" from a can, add a little chicken/beef bouillon powder (she can use the salt), freeze the water, serve it warm, etc. Whatever works for her.

I've been through this a few times with both critters (as well as a few I've babysat), usually when someone decides to eat something they shouldn't or eats too quickly.

Take care of yourself, I'm sure both of you will be back up to playing chase games soon enough.
