    Good morning, everyone.

Lily dog and I spent far too long outside in the cold this morning, spying on the neighbours. She, of course, stayed warm by lying in my lap (I`m not supposed to do any heavy lifting for a few days, wonder if having 50lbs in my lap counts? ).

Managed to get some papers sorted, some shredded and then we settled down and watched some old Hitchcock movies. Anyone remember Young and Innocent? If you ignore the dead body, it's actually a sweet little film with the cutest terrier (I *think* he's a Kerry Blue).

Off to actually do some work around here. I still haven't reorganized the laundry closet from last week. Eeeek. We'll see if either roommate offers to help me.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I have a fairly extensive wardrobe but that is because of the job that I had for over 20+ years, you had to always look professional (no denim, tanks, sleeveless etc. were allowed) you get the idea, professional attire at all times, plus I have a wardrobe for church (my Sunday bests), plus one for weekend/casual wear as I wasn't allowed to be casual at work. Now with not working and just being Mom now, the only cloths I do wear now are casual, expect for church attire . But I'm glad that I have them as I can't see my self buying cloths now, unless it a winter coat or something like that, but not regular cloths, I'll make do with what I have for as long as possible.
I really like to shop at Marshall or Winners, you can get quality cloths at a reasonable price. JMO

Not amber, I'm working on a bracelet for a friend using a light brown jasper and thought I'd add some light yellow crystals in between to brighten things up. Still not sure of the design, I'll post a photo when done.

& I did manage to get some filing done, before the brats convinced me that it's more important to play.

As for the purse challenge, this one is easy for me. I rarely carry a purse these days, usually I just have my wallet and whatever else I need goes into either a larger messenger-type bag (if going out or to hospital, since I have meds and whatever I might pick up on the way) or my little buggy if I'm off to the grocery store. I try to deal with receipts as soon as I get home, to make life easier (doing the CO51 type stuff helps to keep me on task).

Yeah! One thing accomplished without realizing it.

Ashley - for quick meals, do you ever cook in bulk? That's what I do, since I have good days and bad days. On days when my stamina is not up to par or my hands are a bit more arthritic than is useful for handling a knife, I pull something out of the freezer and I have dinner in less than 10 minutes. The best thing I ever did when I first moved to the condo and left home was buy several containers that are the perfect portion size for me.

I can suggest some idiot-proof recipes that you can make while you`re doing something else (basically, shove everything in a pot, leave to simmer for an hour or so, while you go have a life ).

Ps. just got a running shoes from my oldest DD last week, she had order it, but when it came the size is too small for her, so she gave it to me even though it's a little big for me, because the last 2 times I had to go to the hospital to do my stress test, I have had to borrow her running shoes, as I hadn't own a pair of running shoes in over 20+ years, yes I know, how could I not have running shoes, but I didn't, as I had no need for it, However I wore them on Friday and they saw me in it, and said that my feet looked weird, as they had never seen me in a running shoes before . I told them to get use to it as this is what I'm wearing until the snows gets here .

You gals can tell me excuse the expression to "piss off" with my challenges I won't be offended

Sounds good, I'm bad for carrying the same purse and never changing/switching. It's practically as big as a suitcase , weights a ton . So I'm sure my purse and my shoulders/back would love it, I will gaie it a purge, but I'm keeping my suitcase...I mean purse, as I can fit a lot in it, but I'll clean it for sure .

Ladies, there is a sweet gal on SC that many of you probably know named SillyLoocie. She posted this on the Q thread, wondering if you wouldn't mind clicking to help out a worthy cause (my bff went there as a kid to help strengthen her muscles - she has CP):

I was wondering if you could take a moment to click on this link & vote for CARD.

The Canadian Association for the Riding Disabled is a marvelous organization who makes an incredible difference in the lives of both children & adults. They are hoping to be awarded $10.000.00 that will help them further their cause enormously. Thank you for your consideration.

I switched over my purse this am was pretty surprised that I only had a few things in there that really did not belong....dog meds . So my cherished faux leather red purse is in the trash BUT I now have a new to me black leather purse that I got at the re-use it centre a few months back it's Derek Alexander which apparently is quite pricey according to the internet but heck I got it for free so that's make me , I will admit I normal buy cheap purses BUT I now have a stylish "apparently" expensive - let's see if it lasts just as long as my cheap ones .

Well off to the races and Wishing everyone a superb and frugal day.
Wow Nancy congrats, and yes Derek Alexander is quiet pricey, the leather is good, and they last a long time, great job on getting it for free...you can't beat that .

    Hi All,
Good morning and a happy Monday to all of you, hope everyone had a good weekend.
My weekend was tiring but I'm happy, I love running around behind my kids and catering to them, giving them there "MOM" time . Because all too quickly it's Monday and there's back at school.
Having a slow morning, catching up on Sc, I'm all catch up now, so I should get to work and start laundry/cleaning up.
My meal plan for this week is:
Monday - Chicken wings with fries/onions rings and garden salad.
Tuesday - Pork chops with mashed potatoes and bush's baked beans.
Wednesday - Pasta with meat sauce and home made garlic bread.
    Thursday - Tacos.
Friday - Sweet and sour shrimp with rice.
Saturday - Chicken strips with baked potatoes.
Have a great day all .
