I am so upset about what happened to me on the a.m. of the coldest day of the winter. After dropping DD at Univ. a guy hits me from behind as I drove out of the exit. Good news is no one hurt, bad news is our 9 yr old ( ALL PAID OFF ) vehicle will now be considered junk, still waiting to hear what $ value they will toss at us, hopefully enough to cover the small shopping I did to distract from my sorrows.
Giant Tiger gave me a small lift later in the day with their Primo .88 cans of soup and their $2.88 Europe's Best frozen berries. Grabbed 4 dozen el cheapo eggs @ $1.88 ea. and some Stuff 'n Such boxed crap for .73 each. Sigh I know eating poorly will solve nothing but I am SO fed up with insurance companies always getting the better end of the deal.
Also I know these are truly First World Issues, but.....but........This thread is currently associated with: Europe's Best, Giant Tiger

Hoping and praying for you that you get a good dollar amount. Look up comparables so if they try to low ball you then you have proof of what it is actually worth because they can reconsider their evaluation. Also let them know of any recent work you had done to the vehicle - oil changes, filters, new tires, wipers, trailer hitch, etc. as that will obviously increase your value.
Glad you weren't hurt and hoping that the insurance company gives you an easier time then they did when I was hit.Insert Clever Signature Here

Glad you are ok, but it sucks being at the mercy of the insurance companies for sure. At least you got some good deals!

Great shopping!
BUT so sorry about the collision! Hoping you can negotiate with the insurance company to come up with a number you are happy with. I know it's SO hard to deal with!

Oh, my Dear....I'm so terribly sorry that happened to you! As I mentioned to you, please get checked out; hurts can show up weeks later! You need to have a record of any potential boo-boos.
Oh I hope you get fair value for your car...is there a way to find out it's value before the insurance company gets back to you?
Gentle hugs, my Friend......

That sucks about the accident and great that no one was hurt. Hopefully the insurance company doesn't play around and you get a fair price for your car. I will be using my car until it's all paid off too, so I can understand the frustration.

I am laughing now because my DH just opened a can of the other Campbell's soups I had gotten for .97 each the week before and under the lid was a printed pin code, we won a coupon for a free can of soup!! They mail it from save.ca......so all of you must know that I am just itching to open the rest of the cans right?? ( Contest good till Sept 2015, I'll be patient.....maybe we can win a new vehicle, I must check out the prizes for this )

Oh no!!!! those cold days bring on stupid drivers too. Man I hope you most importantly too are okay. It does take a few days for your body to start reacting sometimes, that was what happened to me years ago. Hope you do get checked and sorry about your 9 year old, that sucks, hope your car insurance is good to you. Glad your spirits were lifted with the GT though, I understand the need to want to open all the cans...you always make us smile with your humurous perspective on things. Take care little one, hope everything turns out okay. You're allowed to feel sorry for yourself...I feel sorry for you too.

Sounds like it's time to cook all day and have a dozen casseroles in the freezer. Depending on the top prize, of course.
