Productive day so far for me! Now to keep going. Went to a bank I have stuff at but don't use daily and cleaned up some of the accounts etc. Cashed cheque DS received for his birthday and put $100 in his account and took the rest that he owed me
Took my "spend how I want" cash out and will spend it wisely lol

I guess my biggest accomplishment of March was arranging for us to do a house exchange on Vancouver Island this summer-pretty economical way to travel with no hotel, flights, minimal eating out etc.

Goals for this month - 2 more pcs for computer work. Really enjoying the extra cash.
Get some of the stuff from the shed sorted once the snow has gone down a bit more.
I'm thinking April will be a impulse splurge free month (I'm booked for a massage on the 11th so I cant say an entirely splurge free month - however i will try to submit that to my insurance)
Finish the blanket for bfs moms and finish one for a college's new baby.
I'm truly not sure how i feel today. Cant decide between mad or happy.
I checked my credit card online this morning and discovered a charge for Khols' and for Sweet Frog - neither of which I have ever set foot in or shopped at online. In fact Sweet Frog i really have no clue what it is. SO I spent half an hour on the phone reporting credit card fraud. Now my card is frozen and I have to get a replacement. I'm not very happy about this note.
On the other side - I've already gotten a booking for 1 PC service call for tonight. (Might have to up my goal after easter week) As well I submitted a resume for a Casual/pt Bookkeeping job as a second job with NFTI (Northern Farm Training Institute) and got a response back within 10 minutes asking me for an interview - they are thrilled with my experience both in book keeping AND that i grew up/worked on a farm in the past.
I do need to curb some of my/our extra spending. Last month we splurged a bit with income tax a(i put a hefty chunk of mine into saving) and my extra work i was doing. We picked up our Kitchen aid Accessory pack on sale for $159.99 less my $25 Giftcard and hopefully a $20 rebate. A pack of 2 ottomans with storage in for the living room (95 dollars less the $30 for selling the larger one with no storage)
We also picked up an Xbox for our house for the boys with 19 games for $200 - selling any games they have double of already and any they do not want (Two have been sold so the cost of the system is down to $180). profits on that will recoup some of the expense. The Xbox itself was purchased because I'm tired of he boys complaining about having to pack up the current one to take back and forth to their moms and our place. Also getting tired oif hearing how moving it around like that makes it freeze. No moving no reason for those 2 complaints.Last edited by saundyl; Wed, Apr 1st, 2015 at 05:36 PM.

Dh has always done our taxes paper copy. This year he has decided to buy a program and do it with that. We want a program where you don't have to finish it all in one sitting and where you can review it all before submitting. I'd like some recommendations please, with reasons for your recommendations.

@saundyl scary that your dealing with credit card fraud, any idea how it started or where. Kids and there electronics/game systems....sigh don't even get me started, we have an egg timer they use to switch off turns. Good luck with the interview, I can say you are definitely not lazy, very hard worker and very committed to your financial situations.

Our biggest accomplishment for March was doing all the renos in Logan's new room on budget and him finally moving in. Also another accomplishment (lol) is finding a way to cook/prepare the moose steak (that's huge) as it's quite strong in taste and now everyone likes it.
