Posting here because if I don't I will forget and post in May tomorrow!
2015 Goals met:
-$4000 on LOC paid off, we own our van bought in January!!!
-$1000 of between pay checks spending eliminated (ie put on VISA and pay off with no interest from next pay check) I called it the deficit
June goals:
-budget forward now that deficit is gone
-re budget for upcoming mat leave and DHs new income (we will feel rich for a few months and then poor for a year!), how to maximize the extra income while it is still extra
-hand in hand with above, budget savings, and get a quote for our bay window replacement
-go on a date with DH and celebrate being done the 12 week marathon of work, parent, study, look into his eyes and remember what colour they are, lol"There are more important things--friendship and bravery...."

Happy Monday and June 1st!!! Wow! I really need to plan a vacation day or 2 before school is out so I can get some things done!
Have a list of things to get done around the house on the go. Hope to tackle a few tonight.

And for those that love Christmas it's 6 months until December 1st (lol), perhaps budgeting for Christmas while we have 6 month is a good thing.

RE: Christmas- I put money away each month to cover Christmas (teens-hard to buy ahead for) but pick up things as I see it for stockings etc. I am at a point where I have way too much money in my Christmas account but I'm going to continue to stick the $ in there and then decide in January what to do with the surplus.

jeepers decided to make rolls this am which has led to me finding mouse droppings in my flour, yep, had to throw all baking from yesterday away with the exception of the rhubarb crisp because I hadn't filled up my flour container yet....sigh. Anyways made the dough for dinners rolls only to discover black things here and there and yep beautiful dough in the garbage. Made a 2nd batch which is now rising with a whole new bag of flour and 3rd batch now yeast mixture rising. And I will admit my 1st batch was beautiful and light compared to the 2nd batch sigh...so I threw away 1/2 a large bag of flour which makes me angry but grateful my 2nd large bag is untouched as it was in a different location. Fingers crossed the rolls turn out as we are out of bread and I am making a roast chicken for supper......sigh....

This month is the deciding month for where we are with our debt repayment. I have been holding on to our monthly payments for the past few months to take advantage of the interest rate bonus offer at my bank. Come July, the money will go where it belongs and we'll probably be catching up like Granger as I'm sure we don't have enough to cover the amount we owe.
Still, paying into the debt again seems like we're working towards that goal.
