    Good afternoon, everyone.

Just got back home a little while ago. Had a nice vacation with my Mom (poor thing is exhausted from taking care of us). Turns out that it wasn't a bug, it was food poisoning. I think I narrowed down the culprit (special event my friend & I went to last Saturday - we both went downhill around 3pm on Monday, luckily she has an immune system that helped her fight off the nasty). My first almost full meal was Friday night (when I finally got my tastebuds back and things tasted like something other than cardboard), yesterday I spent most of the day outside in another friend's backyard just getting fresh air (& a homemade BBQ'd burger, yumm). Still sticking to very plain foods, but trying to get back to the real world. We'll see how things go this week (I have friends & neighbours on alert to check on me, good thing I'm so very lucky that folks like me ).

Better go check on the brats - they're too quiet. I suspect that they're sulking that they are not getting stuffed with treats (they were happy with the car ride, but then when the chauffeur left, they both started sulking).

Hope everyone is well. Night all.

Golf teams are done with exception of one person who has not confirmed if they are bringing a guest or not. If they do bring a guest I have no idea what I am going to do. I have 2 teams of 3 issue being there really isn't anyone I can move off either of these team to the other team without people deciding not to come due to the team change. The one team if I remove anyone or add someone they did not choose most will decide not to come and their 4th had to back out last week.

I think I am becoming more and more on board with everyone's name going into a hat and no choosing teams. But I know that would never work as I know if we went to this format I can think of 15 to 20 regulars who would stop attending. Oh well not much I can do now, I will have trouble (better known to others as our production manager) look over the lists tomorrow and see what he has to say. Not to mention he needs to confirm a few things as I thought we had two wives attending to help with the games and events but someone told me they were not coming now which means I have no idea who is running these events.

I love golf day I love golf day I love golf day lol

Adding to the list of things we need to do around the house our basement needs new lighting. The owners before us were obsessed with halogen lighting which I do not give because they give off so much heat but none the less they were. They look most of the lights with them (yippee as we did not want them) but left them in the basement. I was trying to work down there today and that room got so hot from the lights so these NEED to switched out. I will add it to my list of things we need to buy.

Relaxed today with a lot of time on Pinterest pinning new recipes for suppers, great ratings and ingredients on hand which is a bonus. In September when life is back to normal I will start doing 1 new recipe per week and the kids will be making 1 supper each every other week and the other will be doing baking and then switch.

Also hoping to get a lot of things done and refreshed once dh is gone hunting, I want to repaint all the closet and bedroom doors as they have not been done since we moved in back in 2005 (omg).

    Wishing everyone a great evening

Another late night down in the basement with the dog. No storm this time but DH is restless and I have a headache. My puppy always finds me when I get up in the night and keeps me company.

DH's daughter phoned today to ask if we could extend our stay with her for a few days. Well- of course! More New baby snuggles and helping drive other two kids back and forth to school and sports commitments. (Her husband works out of town most weeks and the older girl starts school at 7:10 am.)
She is worn out and both she and the baby have colds. We will be happy to lend a hand.

AS- I know how you feel about a basement needing tidying! Tomorrow I have to really try to get down here to start putting things back together. It's affecting the whole house!

I have 3 weddings to get organized this week. One that I will perform next weekend and 2 that are coming up just after I get back from Denver.

Got to get meds in place to make sure we don't run out while we're gone.

My younger brother is coming to visit our brother who lives here to help him reorganize his apartment tomorrow. It will be good to see him and they'll both come over for supper I hope.

I bought some gluten-free bread and flour as well as some egg-substitute and some personal care products that the naturopath had recommended we use today. Whew! Very pricey! Going to have to figure out where they are sold most inexpensively and if there are coupons available.

Everyone is rejoicing about 5 weekends this month but for us it means one of those 2 extra mortgage payments when you pay every 2 weeks.

Well I must try to get to sleep.

    Good night folks!

We have electricians coming to the house today to do some major work. We knew this needed to be done and saved up for it. Getting a new breaker box, getting some loose plug-ins fixed, electric fan in our roof wired in, and living room plugs plus outside plug put onto new breakers (currently all on one, which is not good with electronics, etc.).

Good thing it is only supposed to reach a high of 22 today. Once the electricians are here we plan on packing up the entire family for the day while they work on things. We'll spend some time at the family Centre, which is free and full of toys for LO to play .

    Good morning, everyone.

Have to get out to my Mom later on, cause foolish twit that I am, I forgot to give her her airline ticket (
on Wed, she'll be leaving on a jet plane ). It took all my skills to convince her that I can be left alone, so she can go visit her sister (first trip there without my Dad ).

Off to get myself organized and try to start my day (I have to admit it was nice to be spoiled, tho I wouldn't recommend getting sick to get it ).

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

    Organized for week.

Dishes done. Laundry caught up. (Will put away when DH comes home).

Baked two loaves of GF bread. Kids fed and playing.

Snuggling baby and dousing feuds between the older two. It is hot and we are having an inside day. This means more arguing.
