@coupon girl go with your gut, I would never ask anyone to try on a dress, jeans etc, kinda of strange in my opinion. @Andit glad to hear your girl is on the mend, it's quite worrisome

MIL will be picking us up at 330 it takes 1/2 hour to get there she asked if I had anywhere I wanted to go and I said GT, they have bacon on for $2.50 limit of 3 so I will purchase 3, get Logan to purchase 3 and may go back in for another round we'll see, I believe it's 375g so the price is not too bad. Also going to pick up a few ingredients for non bake desserts since it's so blazing hot. Not to write a small list, wish me luck.

    Hi, peeps!

My life seems to be bass-ackwards - staying up all night, and sleeping for an hour or so a few times a day.
I've tried all kinds of combos, just can't seem to regulate things.

Wishing you all a lovely day!

I need to ask you ladies for some advice. As you know I crochet baby afghans. I buy my patterns...have never asked anyone for theirs. Got a call today from someone who was at AnnaMae`s yesterday and fell in love with one of them. Her friend (the one who crochets) is calling me tonight and wants me to send her the pattern. Here is my question...would you give away patterns that you paid for and use to earn $$$ with? Would like to hear your opinions on this.

In all honesty I would not, this is how you make your living if she loves it so much why not buy the one she feel in love with or if she is determined to have her friend make then they can find the pattern. I would be nice and tell them the name or number or however they they identify their patterns and if you can remember tell her where you bought it. End of the day this is how you make your living and personally I think it is pretty ballsy if you want my honest answer.

Kind of reminds me of people who have a cake my mom has made and then want all her recipes and secrets. Granted at this time my mom does not do it as a business that is her dream and why should she give away her secrets to everyone.

Got a nice surprise tonight. We have $100 surplus in our grocery budget and I was going to use it buy a tray of steaks as a treat, but Mom went to Costco today and has a little extra money so she bought the steaks so I do not have too. Like I said before any little help I can get I will take, I know she cannot take on a mortgage payment but a tray of steaks sure.

I would share a pattern with someone who was a friend - but I think it's very brazen to ask an artisan to just "hand over" their tools!

Also, you can say, it's against copywrite to do this. Maybe you can tell her where you purchased it, if you can remember - I would have a case of "senior moment" (referring to me not you) when it came to remembering.

Thanks ladies. Hubby said the same thing but I have a hard time saying no. I told her I had bought the book at Walmart years ago and that I wasn`t sure exactly where it was. I have the patterns memorized that I use a lot. Looked it up online and the book is still available or she can download the pattern from Leisure Arts. I think that`s the only info she will get from me. She said that they would like to come to my house to meet me but I expect they would want to see and copy all my patterns. That won`t be happening.

So glad to hear your mom is stepping up. Little things like that help out so much.

It always amazes me that people expect you to "hand over" patterns. My sister has run into this also. She also refused.
