Cath-sorry you are going through a hard time and sorry to hear about your grandmother's fall too. I cannot advise you about online relationships as I have never met a boyfriend this way. However if I understand your post correctly and he has gone back to his old girlfriend, I would not sit around waiting for him or chasing him-just my opinion but this can lead to a lot of heartache for you. Also it sounds like you have never met him in person, so if you actually did, he may not be as nice or perfect a person as he seemed online. You are the only one who can decide if you want to stay just friends or not-often this can be quite hard.

With regard to the cleaning, if you are feeling overwhelmed, perhaps start small-pick one drawer or set your timer for 10 minutes. Just start with a small task and if you feel you want to keep going fine. If not, then start again tomorrow with a small task and eventually you will get it done.

I know weight loss is never easy for most of us-perhaps just some simple changes like trying to eat more vegetables and getting out for a walk each day will help.

Hope some suggestions will be helpful to you and remember it does take time to get over the heartache of a lost relationship. Wishing you some happier days ahead.

He said that people that are lazy always have excuses for why they cannot tackle or do chores, etc. It could be tired at this moment, have other things to do at this time, more pressing items that need to get done (that don't get done), that can wait I'll tackle this (but it doesn't get done). They need to relax because ....and on and on.

He said that people that are ill atleast want to do chores (things around the house) but are not always able to but do things BUT do get things done in strides (as they are capable) but they get things done.

He told me that if things were affecting my mental health that ONLY I can take control of my life and take care (ah ha moment, I knew this but I guess needed someone to say it outloud). He told me that I either needed to accept that things would not get done by dh and move on OR tackle things myself. He said that if the person did not like how I was doing something they could redo it whenever they get around to it (haha) or help while I was doing the project.

So moving forward, I started today.

Thought I would share as I know some of us have issues getting others to help around the house.
Ah Hah! moment indeed. Hope your new attitude helps to reduce your stress. Please just don't take things on that would be too much for you.

Much to my surprise the production issue must be over as they had 10 boxes on the shelves (yes I think I might have heard angels sing), granted I know they are cheaper at Wal-Mart but was not going to take the risk and paid the $5 more per box. I am hoping with all the wonderful suggestions I have been given (Thank you Ladies) if I can get it to clear up maybe just maybe I won't end up here again.

Figured well I was there and the gift card promotion was on why not do my Christmas shopping, I have learned it is the only way to go with my family. I ended up getting way more then I needed but figure I can keep the extra in my stockpile for myself. Maybe trick myself into some treats for me. Maybe I won't feel so guilty about stopping at Tim's if I use a giftcard, I know it will never be a regular thing for me but if I can treat myself once in awhile on the road why not. Plus I feel like I will spend more time on the road then most of us think I will.

Tonight when we go out I will grab a few more things as I was not sure what to buy my Half Bros gf, or my cousin's little girl so they have sent me some ideas so I will grab a few things tonight.

Better get back to work have a great day everyone.
You had me at, "Half Bros gf (and) my cousin's little girl" - My gosh you must buy gifts for EVERYONE! Don't feel guilty about splurging on yourself sometimes!!! You deserve it!

I'm sorry to hear about your story. Hearts can be broken in any kind of relationship, but hearts can be happy too! I wouldn't give up on the whole process, but perhaps you might work up the courage to meet the next person you start an online friendship with.

Hello folks! Well this week is over. Thank the lord! The funeral for my cousin was yesterday and I performed the service. The stress of dealing with all the red tape has been immense and almost overwhelmed her poor mother. Over 200 people came and the family was exhausted but so overwhelmed to think that their daughter/sister was so well loved!

My poor dh has not been well. We spent a long time at the ER the other day and he was prescribed some antibiotics and pain meds. I hope he gets better soon. I'm afraid I have been neglecting him while being involved with all the details of my cousin's illness and funeral arrangements.

It has been a "wild" weather day! Unbelievable wind and some sleet. Walks for the doggy have been very short and windy today!

I hope that J&C, your arms are feeling better! Sassy, good luck with planning your weekend activities!
Thriftygranny, I am glad you are taking things easy.

FrugalBigMomma - enjoy your "suite" and your weekend!

Coupon girl - how nice that you could get together with another SCer!

I wanted to start decorating the house for Christmas this weekend but I'm a little concerned because the dogs still have fleas and I'm constantly vacuuming all over and can't exactly move the tree (without breaking ornaments).....and sadly I know dh would have the tree on 24hrs (yes I'm serious) I can just hear the hydro meter vroom vroom. So may only decorate closer to the end of the month.

I guess I will see how the weekend progresses and I could have helpers (the boys).

I'm planning on painting the bedroom and bathroom doors in the next week.

    Question -

My mom bought my youngest a laptop last year for his bday and is giving me $ for an xbox1 for my eldest but the amount she is giving me is quite a bit less than what was spent on my youngest, what should I do? I'm extremely grateful but it makes it ackward as eldest know what she spent on his brothers laptop???? AND I don't think it's fair to spend $450 on 1 grandchild and $300 on the other. Like I said I am very grateful but it truly bothers me.
I think that if your mom is buying your son the gift he wants, the difference in cost shouldn't matter.I don't think that is what gift giving is about. Over the years my kids have wanted various things for Christmas or Birthdays that have had different monetary values, I don't think anyone was doing the math to see who's gift cost more. Try not to let it bother you and it is a good time to pass the lesson on to your sons that things aren't always even.

Hi all. Crazy week here...my replacement started so I'm training her (still awaiting a few requirements before my start date).

BF broke his leg plowing the driveway last night so we spent the evening in the ER (poor gut has had such bad luck this year)
we had to spend 115 on the air cast he had to have until the swelling goes down. He did get a prescription for it so we will getthe money back .But checked my credit card today and they charged it twice...so will have to deal with it monday when the billing dept is open.

We went to the legions service on Wednesday both boys are now in cadets...they looked so handsome....or cute and spiffy in their uniforms.

    Sassy congrats!

Nancy my sister had a problem with her mil buying for her son and not her daughter. I think it ended up as a "if you cant treat them fairly dont buy anything" and its improved. But they're still little dudes
