cath, it depends on which email you have - there should be something on the sign-in page about it.

Cath-this happened to me one day too. I was unable to access my email even though I knew I was using the correct password. So I phoned my email provider and they told me somebody in another country had tried to access my account- so they shut down my account immediately as a precaution. Once I identified myself they set up a new password for me and unlocked my account. Good luck.

I also cashed in some PC points today-always nice to get free groceries.

I did not catch it on TV, but have just watched the 6 part series Keeping Canada Alive online from CBC( google it). It was very well done- following families across the country in Canada's healthcare system. If you like stories about families and human drama it is very good. If you cannot watch surgery or don't want to shed a tear or two-give it a miss. I found it very well done and it does really make you stop and appreciate your health and your friends and family. The only episode that did not play properly for me online was #4 so I sent an email to CBC to see if they can fix it.

I shopped at our local Sears store on Saturday. It has become an outlet with outrageously low prices on some things. Plus there was an extra 30% off the lowest price on most items.
I managed to get two hoodies and a layered shirt for my nephews for 9.99-30% each.
I got a pair of capris and a pair of light pants each $9.99 -30% as well as a top (which was 75% off the lowest price = $2.50)
I also got a lovely 3 piece Christmas set for our grand-daughter for 6.98-30%. Red and white snowflake sweater top, white onesie and navy blue pants.

I also took advantage today of a post about the Minecraft 4 book manual available at Coles for $10. (Regularly more than $50) This is a great present for one of my nephews.
    I am happy.

    Wonderful finds, avon!

Just enjoying some down time - son was over for a visit and supper - YAY two days in a row! Hadn't seen him for a week, so it was nice.
He'll winterize our van on Saturday - what a blessing that is for us, cost-wise! Of course, payment will be in food and sweets, lol!

For his birthday at the end of Oct., we had given him money towards a new phone - he had been dealing with a cracked, then more badly cracked screen on his for months and months - and since we don't have cells, we had no clue, so just gave him cash. So he got the new one he was waiting for which had just come in - a Nexus 5x, and it's so pretty (well, so sharp and clear), lol!

    G'nite, everyone!

Well the good new is it is Tuesday, I am not sure what it is but I really just want this week done.

I know my Mom means well but she is really stressing me out, she is offering my crocheting skills to her co workers which is fine but everything they need they need for Christmas and my projects are piling up and I am started to get stressed that things are taking too long and I am not going to get them all done. So far here is my list:
Purple Elephant for Half Bros gf
    Football Pillow for Half Bro
Mermaid Blanket agreed too off buy/sell site
4 Crochet hand bags for Mom co workers in her department (2 are done. 1 needs the strap attached and 1 I have not started)
    Mermaid Blanket for Co worker
2 Pair of Sneaker Slippers for Co worker
Mom's blanket for Queen Size bed
Something for cousins's little girl (still have not decided what I am going to make as all the info he gave was fav colour is purple so I have the yarn but no pattern)

This plus everything going on at work I have to get done has me stressing that I am going to run out of time. Not to mention my new job became very real yesterday as my job has officially been posted which is good but makes it really real that I need to get everything cleaned up and organized for someone new to come into my station.

I am pretty sure I can get it all done but it is really going to leave me no time for anything else, think I will need to buckle down this weekend and just how much I can get done.

Have a great day everyone off to see what this day brings.

@SassyAshley : You must be really good at what you do with so many orders. You'll have to farm out the work soon!

I have caught my third cold without recovering from the last two. It's just been cold after cold after cold. I know it could be worse, but I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I don't want to stay up until 4 AM coughing and not being able to breathe anymore. I don't want to pay $19.20 for the "value" size, 350 mL of Buckley's. I don't want to go through a tissue every two minutes. It's been over a month!

Sorry, end rant. Sleep deprivation makes me crazy.

I have some Christmas shopping done. Last week, I picked up a PS4 bundle with a game for DH for 59.20% off. Not too shabby for the last one in town (of that particular version)! He even picked up a side job to help pay for it, so that can all be used towards his family's gifts now.

I also happened to see a new pair of running shoes at the Running Room for $40. Usually, I've seen shoes as much as $200 there and they have a very limited selection. I picked it up as it's one of the brands that fit and work well for me so now I have a Christmas gift from DH that I actually want and need!

DH also found a child's kitchen set that was tossed but in near perfect condition. We cleaned and polished it up and LO will see it on Christmas morning. I also mentioned that we were looking for reviews on a train set and a co-worker said he might have his son's old one that he doesn't play with anymore. If he does, we may get LO an easel or maybe finish with her shopping altogether. Her stocking stuffers of a hairbrush, toothbrush, and first piggy bank can be wrapped soon, and maybe some other needs like hair clips will be added.

Now to start looking for a Christmas tree. I'm still undecided to look for a 4' or a 6'5" tree. And do I wait until after Christmas or buy now? I can't imagine there's a rush of people looking for trees, are there?

    Good morning, everyone.

Didn't end up going to my friend's on Sunday - too many complications (I'd been overdoing it & just about crashed, needed a flake-out day, plus I was more or less trapped in my neighbourhood thanks to Santa's visit - I would have had an extra half hour tagged onto my commute to my friend's place), so had a do-nothing day. Yesterday was a fun training session with another friend's dog (poor pup is still very anxious and clingy - poor G panics if my friend is out of sight). I get to babysit G this morning while my friend has an appt, we'll see if G decides I'm the enemy after that. Later this afternoon, I'm heading over to the friend who needs cleaning help. Think I'll be happy to see my bed tonight. Then theatre tomorrow, then a few days doing nothing. I hope. Well, except Friday is the opening of the Xmas Market, so really should head over there (free chocolate is a good incentive ). I've been told by both bff's that I'm overdoing it - I know it, part of it is trying to not have down time to think about Saturday (2nd anniversary of my Dad's death), I want to be too tired and busy to dwell. Part of it is just wanting to do as much as I can while I have energy. Was reminded again recently that life's too short to waste.

Off to await G's visit (we'll likely hang out in a quiet spot - poor girl is afraid of traffic and most things, don't think I should subject her to my pushy Quincy cat's attentions ).

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good morning! Back at work for 3 days this week .
We decided that we wanted to redeem PC pts for steak at RCSS so last night after dinner we went and each redeemed PC pts for a $50 PC Gift card. We weren't loving the steaks they had out so will check in again this week. I know I wanted to save my PC pts for the new year but redeeming for meat I think is a good way to use them. I bought that cheesecake for $7 (with the bonus 3000 pc pts) to try it out. We liked it so will get another for a dinner with friends we are having soon. After that purchase my PC pts balance on my MC is $320.00- time to rebuild!

Interested in a 2nd hand tree? I am seeing tons posted on Facebook mom swaps. You could always post "ISO" and I'm sure you will find lots of offers (and maybe free!) We had 3 trees in the storage locker we bid on this summer. I decided to keep one (I usually like real but wanted to put up earlier this year and save $ lol) Sold one and gave one away. People are always changing their minds/or downsizing so it may be worth a shot.

Great car memory, @Frugalbigmama ! Were you expected to help your mom with laundry or cooking as well so she'd know it was done? I enjoy reading about your PC Plus points adventures as well.
@Sweets parrow -oh, you so need a break from colds. Pasta with butter, some chili flakes and some garlic (sautéed or raw/minced, your choice) might help or get some takeout/frozen pizza and call it supper. Give the Buckley's a pass and drink all the pop or sparkling juices you can get. Yes, eat and drink like a teen to see if your body rallies off cold #3.

Wonderful sunny but chilly day-overdid the walking yesterday so there are aches. If I could make like a cat and find a nap spot in a cozy nook and a box of doughnuts with a cup of tea, I'd be there!
2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
