@Angela273 : What a nightmare. I hope you'll be able to get your furnace sorted out soon.
I'm hoping I don't have to see another turkey until Christmas. While this year was nice that we were able to get the entire turkey free, with much more meat than the 1.5 kg Butterballs, I am completely done with turkey. Today, we're finishing up the last of it, good riddance! A 12 kg turkey is just too much for three people. I still have the bones and juices and am thinking of tossing it. It's been quite a while since we've made the turkey and there was no room in the freezer.
I think we will have shrimp and noodles tonight, or if they are still frozen, perhaps the Olivieri pasta we've just picked up recently. I am just over the moon that the turkey is done and eaten!

We are having Turkey on Saturday lol. Finally getting together for Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Had ribs etc with his on the Saturday of the long weekend. And then we went to the casino for a free dinner (had a piece of turkey there but not the same as the family turkey dinner!) Using one of the 6 I bought the other day and best part is my mom is cooking it
Just ran around getting supplies for DS's project. He will be busy working on it tonight.
Since dinner is easy tonight (leftover meatpie and whip up a salad) I plan to get laundry on the go tonight.

We are loving turkey leftovers
Yesterday I made a home made cream sauce, mixed in chopped turkey and we ate it over toast....absolutely delicious! Busy today with canning the last of the pears, making a meat sauce in the slow cooker so I don't have to think too much about dinner, checking up on my parents and bringing them some food, and the never ending laundry

We've just been having turkey for lunch and dinner every day since thanksgiving, day after day, with seemingly no end in sight. No variations because I've been using up all my time to sort new and old baby and LO's clothes. Washing, washing, washing. Folding, folding, folding, all while working full time and a two hour commute to daycare and then home on the way back. Then living the single parent life until DH comes back home just before 8 PM to occupy LO or help. Back up and at it again for 6 AM by the next day. Repeat.
The turkey was getting drier and drier, until it was like a race to the finish. Some days we were trying to eat more turkey just to get to the end.
Tonight, no turkey for dinner! Hurrah!

Received the sample source box in the mailbox today. Few good FPC'S to use. And debating if I should let my pup have the Cesar dogfood. She eats dry kibble so it would be a treat! Just don't want it to go thru her.

I don't have any bright ideas about the scalp coupongirl, I would probably have the doctor take a look, you have been sick a lot lately so it could just be your immunity is low and it is just your bodies reaction to stressors. At least the doc could rule things out like psoriasis or excema and give you some ideas on treatment. hope it doesn't last too long.

The thing is it could be so many things causing it. It could be from washing your hair too often, or using too much shampoo/condition - so the leftover residue is bothering your scalp. It could also be hair dye, or from alcohol in styling products.
As thriftygranny said, it could just be from stress.
- one thing to try (if you can, but it's understandable if you just can't) is to let your hair go as long as possible without washing, even a week, just to get your natural oils back in balance
I have psoriasis, and in winter I get a few patches of plaques on my scalp, but I have a prescription to deal with that.

Look online (try Paula Begoun's Cosmetic Cop site) at any indications that the hair dye ingredients could cause allergic reactions. It's possible you are reacting to something since you mention the itching. Medication-does your sheet indicate itching/dryness as a possible side effect. Also see what dyes might be in the medicine-some people are allergic to certain dyes as well. Health Canada has a drug database too: http://hc-sc.gc.ca/index-eng.php
With the cooler temperatures, our skin cells are going to be seeking moisture and help against dryness/chapping.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

@Frugalbigmama -I am asking someone about using the Cesar wet food for their pets. Otherwise I may find another pet owner to take the samples or give them to the food bank in case a client might need pet food for a pet.
I intend to redeem the FPCs tomorrow when I buy some groceries. Keen on the Astro yogurt; I will have to think about a quiche to use the cottage cheese and want the whipped cream product in the pantry should a cake need decorating.
You were correct about there being no tax on bread! I purchased a $1.64 Old Mill sliced loaf today and no tax was charged. I'm feeling a keen need for toast and tea-everyday I feel a tad on the cold side or am sneezing or feeling a scratchy throat.Last edited by Ciel; Wed, Oct 26th, 2016 at 09:54 PM.
