Just a reminder. Even the CDC said to have 30 days of necessities on hand. Just in case.
Which means....
Unless you have a medical problem, no one goes through 240 rolls of TP in 30 days.
Unless you want to fill your bathtub with Purel, no one needs 5 liters of hand sanitizer for 30 days.
Unless you are setting up your own sterile laboratory with stage 3 quarantine protocols, you do not need 12 bottles of Lysol for 30-days.
Unless you are expecting you will be sick with a fever every day of the 30 days, and you will be around others during that entire time, and you replace your face mask once every 10 minutes, NO ONE needs 800 face masks for 30 days.
Unless you are babysitting 10 babies, no one needs over 50 packages of baby-wipes for 30 days.
Because...and hear this.
Others need toilet paper.
Others need hand sanitizer.
Others need lysol.
Others need baby-wipes.
Others, when they are sick and have to be out in public, need masks.
You are making yourself less safe by hoarding.
Because you are making it harder for others to be safe,
and to take reasonable precautions against disease.I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

@Lynn49 - you were in a place where people from all over the world were mixing and mingling less than 14 days ago. Now they have closed that facility. Since both you and your DD are experiencing respiratory issues, perhaps a call to your Health Unit to ask about whether you should be tested for the virus would be in order. You would not be sent to an ER but a separate assessment centre, or asked to self isolate. I know this is a scary thought, but people are just waking up to the idea that this virus is here and the possibility of infecting others is real even before symptoms show up.This virus is not just the flu- it is much more rapidly expanding and it is up to 10X more dangerous.
Please consider this. Yes, the clinic is worried about themselves- but who knows who they interact with in a day. Also, they may be related to very vulnerable people.
Our rules here would actually exclude you from visiting here, as well.
Take care, my dear friend.

Thank you, @avoncallingu, I know you're worried about us, but our DD has had this cough since early February, right through our trip, so it's an "old" cough. As for me, as long as I use my 2 puffers, I'm not coughing, no fever, so I think I'm fine, and after years of asthma, I can recognize my symptoms. I'm usually freezing, I haven't a fever, runny nose, no body aches, no sore throat, and I don't have a "dry" cough (symptoms identified by Harvard).
Honey, if anything changes I'll take your advice and call.
Stay well, my Friend.
Universal to close March 15th.
With everything closing I'm shocked that our seniors' centre remains open! Oldsters are returning from the US in flocks, going there, and hey!!!...they're all seniors!!Last edited by Lynn49; Fri, Mar 13th, 2020 at 08:07 PM.

bwahaha!!! THAT little clip of the bird with the golf balls made my morning @Lynn49 I just love it when animals " play ". thanks.
Well today is our sweet Rufus' Sweet sixteenth birthday! I got a kick out of our vet clinic forwarding birthday wishes to him.
An inside day for the most part, although DH has asked that I pick up more Red Prince apples and Tassimo decaf discs, while I'm out filling the vehicle.
( gas is still cheap right? )
Oh btw @electric_viking I liked the post you made wrt shelf clearing. When you crunch the numbers like that it makes perfect sense BUT panic shoppers can almost never be reached with that, um....logic. ha ha
I just got a visual of all the times pranksters have TP'd a house! Howie Mandell was a victim here....ahhh, good times when no one cared about wasting TP

Good morning @walkonby Happy 16th Birthday to Rufus. My Thor celebrate his 8th Birthday yesterday.
I was out at the Superstore that I shop at at 7:30 thus morning and it was already like a zoo. I went for milk and fresh fruits came back without any milk who would have thought that people would also stock up on 4liter and 2 litre Milk. Most of the shelves are clear 2 employees were directing traffic as for the line ups it’s crazy like you see on TV. I am going to stay indoors for the rest of the day.
Have a great day my friends

Would you believe there was a fight outside of Costco here?! Cops had to be called.
I'm shocked that the UK hasn't shut down schools, etc...10 more deaths today there, iirc. Numbers are increasing there, what are they thinking?Last edited by Lynn49; Sat, Mar 14th, 2020 at 12:12 PM.
