Morning friends! Dr. appointment at noon today.
@Natalka - you should receive a medal for bravery! My prayers go out to you, my friend!
Continuing to purge and re-organize.
BrotherR had a fall and damaged himself and his wheelchair. BrotherB is dealing with that and also getting him some wireless earphones so that his deaf roommate's very loud TV watching doesn't bother him.
Well, must get on with the day. Take care and stay cool!

mornin gang....sniff, sniff......wah!!!!!
It may take more time for this most recent bullet to be extracted. DH has sworn off watching the Leafs ( again, still? I forget ) he leaves every year and returns when the season starts up again. Sucker!!
I can talk....I get sucked into the tunnel of hope every year only to be shat out early.
Anyhow....the weather is lovely, life is pretty good despite the pandemic. ( words I never thought I'd ever say )
Happy Monday all!!

Good day!
Hoping everyone is doing well.
@avoncallingu - I hope your brother is okay and is on the mend soon.
Thanks again, everyone, for your good wishes and messages.
My home care coordinator called this aft, to check on how I am doing, usually we email. She was very thorough - and is a sweetie!

Good morning @flemeth
Sorry 'bout the Leafs, guys, but could you imagine a world where they actually win the cup? "We have the greatest hockey team in all the world!!" lolololol
I'm allowed to joke... I'm a Jays fan

This was me just yesterday. I found a plant that I hadn't really been looking for that is available (some are really hard to come by), however, it is minimum $40 for a 6" pot. I don't want it that badly. BUT... I stopped in at Canadian Tire last night for something completely unrelated and found one there for $12. Yeah, for $12 I will buy it It looks like this:

Good morning.
@GoJays , that's a very pretty plant, I think plants with variegated leaves are so pretty; they're my favourite hostas in our yard. Or the elephant ears one. Both. Enjoy!
No 100km winds that were predicted last night thank goodness, but a deluge for a while. Sunny and perfect today.
Nothing going on, not going anywhere....so I'll likely put a Christmas movie on and knit little tree ornaments or gift tag thingies.
Have a lovely day, everyone.Last edited by Lynn49; Tue, Aug 11th, 2020 at 11:01 AM.

A lovely quiet day here for all of us. ( so far )
I've not not even gone out onto the back deck or front path today.....just lounged in front of the tv after rising from bed. Brewed a coffee first though, I am not an animal!
@GoJays I love when we've resisted getting gouged on an item ( in your case that plant ) and then it turns up unexpectedly at a much discounted price! A win/win!! Congrats and enjoy.
If anyone is interested Patty Smyth posted another view of her amazing and beautiful garden.

Also this link to a hummingbird moth? ( or something ) that visited her yard!

Good morning (or should I say "mourning" for Leafs fans😣
Wow those hurricane level winds sure tore up the mid west in the States!
Glad they didn't get so far as to affect you @Lynn49 .
That's a beautiful plant, @GoJays ! I too love varigated plants. Is it an indoor or outdoor plant?
I'm up to my eyeballs in things that need to be filed. Our Association business has become an albatross around my neck. Out of 6 people on the board we seem to get 15 opinions about major issues like whether the letterhead should be italicized or not. Breathe-just breathe!
We are expecting rain here and it's fairly chilly with the wind.
I had a bad night's sleep. Woke up coughing and gasping for air at one point. Got up and took my puffers and changed my night clothes as I was soaked with sweating.
I received some farm- fresh veggies from one of the tenants who co-owns a farm with a garden. I roasted a very large beet after it cooled down last night. I also got these mysterious little small tomato-like fruit? Which are covered in a papery lantern-type covering. Apparently they are Mexican in origin and are very healthy. Good for blood pressure, heart, liver, blood sugar- all the regular things that plague us. They taste something like a tomato. I'll try to find their name.
Got to go and keep tidying/filing. Foot lady is coming at noon.
BFN!
