To lose a baseball game is one thing, to lose on a horribly wrong call is another, but to be eliminated from the series on that call is the worst.
A very heartbreaking loss of game 5 for the SF Giants to the LA Dodgers.
Did he batter go around?? NO he did not.
( go to time mark 1.15 )
It is not a reviewable play, so suck it Giants I guess is what the MLB says.
Ugh....what an ugly end.
Pretty sure Max Scherzer's 9th inning contribution as a pitcher will forever be overshadowed by that call.

Welp, the baseball season is officially over for us. SF was the last remaining team that we didn't utterly despise. A more terrible pair of matchups could not possibly have been scripted

Good morning, Ladies, Dan!
Well, @walkonby , that's just another thing I love about football: a coach h has a few opportunities in games to drop a flag, ensuring reviews of plays. Even though it's a faster paced game, it still takes the time to get things right. Stalling a baseball game would hardly make a difference, lol!
Perhaps some good will come of that call.
I learned how to fold Jenny's and my big sherpa type throw into a neat pillow! I showed it to my Hubby and he thought I had sewn it into a pillow!
Nope, I said, as I dramatically unfurled it! I do make life interesting for him. Hahaha!
Yep, life in the retired lane, the excitement never ends!
For instance, deep-needle tens therapy for me at my chiropractor appointment today...some fun! Or not, but I will persevere!
Enjoy the day, everyone!Last edited by Lynn49; Fri, Oct 15th, 2021 at 09:35 AM.

Oh Lord! Nobody even noticed that I had typed Happy Thirsty Thursday in my post this morning? After posting and feeding Frankie I headed out to the Medical Clinic and the receptionist said Dr. " so and so " never works on Friday " .
Geesh! I thought she had lost her marbles because it was Thursday ....right?
nevermind.....some days it's just better for everyone to stay in bed.

Welcome to my world, Cuppycake!! Hahaha!!!
So yes, I prescribe a jammy day for you, treats, no work, tea, coffee, wine...you should feel better tomorrow.
Should this not succeed, repeat as required.
Quick story...our DD was having a crampy tummy the other day and her DH asked her if she needed anything, and she said, "No, I just wanna whine." So he brought her a 'wine'. Too cute!!
If I was there, I'd bring you a wine. And me. And another bottle. Probably.

I love watching footbal on my Optik PVR. It is the only way I can tolerate all the stoppages and commercial advertisements. That FFwd button is perfectly timed. I click it once and am immediately and perfectly situated to watch play after play after play, without seeing a single commercial / time-out / challenge break. I can actually watch an entire game in LESS than the 60 minutes required to play the game in real time.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

I had no idea my youth was shaped through fairy tales and tv........no wonder i turned out like this!
So did anyone watch the Houston vs Red Sox game ?? Oh my man! ( ALTUVE!!! )
He never disappoints. Two run homer in the 6th to tie the game. His team mate Correa delivers a go ahead HR in the 7th...and that was all it took to win.
Game 2 is Sat afternoon!
