same here @Lynn49 ...cancer has never stopped invading the bodies of those we love. My condolences.
I went out front to snip a bit of mint for my tea and thought....." can Frankie ingest mint leaves? "
A quick Google search said yes, so I added a sprig of fresh parsley from the fridge as well. He was inquisitive right away, pulling the 2 herbs off the rungs and inside the cage. At least he'll have fresh breathe! lol

Thank you, @SnowFlakey , @walkonby ; my concern now is my SIL left behind with Parkinson's disease. She has a son living with her, working from home, so that's a blessing...I'm not sure he's a cook or not, though. I'll know more on Friday.
WALKS, what a nice treat for Frankie! I wonder what other nibbles they like? I don't recall my Mom doing much more than that seed sprig, a beak-cleaning stone, a wee bath tub and small bowls of oatmeal either my brother or I left behind, lol...!
Take good care, everyone.

Oy!! Up well before 5 a.m.??!! Who does that? ( @Lynn49 ) lol .
At least GoJays has a reason for rising that early.
I lazed about until 8 a.m. then got Frankie and the cats all done up before tackling a rather large job.
5 lb bag of carrots was starting to show signs of going south, so i peeled almost all of them, boiled about 2 lbs, then bagged and froze them, oven roasted another 2 lbs, along with cauliflower steaks, 1 sweet potato and a whack of fresh parsley.
The parsley came out like crispy kale chips, except NOT kale...lol.
Then the cabbage roll making....so i am done for the day I think. Cabbage rolls are still simmering away in the oven.
All in all I will chalk this up to a productive morning.

Hi all! This morning i went to the town community garden boxes and snipped a bunch of parsley to dry and some to freeze. Also went to Maxi and price matched on grapes and a pile of tomatoes. This weekend DD and i are making Salade D'Hiver (Winter Salad). I usually buy this at the big market in another town but didnt go this year. So decided to make my own.
