Morning coffee with a bear? Yep.
DD took her coffee out to their back patio at about 6:30, pitch black, but heard something messing around with their above ground pool and the pump….yep, bear! She quietly went back to their patio doors and slipped back into the house, lol! Poor muffins are looking for food before they sleep through the winter. (A gift I wish I had developed!)

1C this morning, 64 in the house, a little chilly even for me so I put the heat on. May need the a/c on later….welcome to fall!!

Good Morning! mega update! the middle of Aug, we rushed our son to the hospital because he was vomiting blood. He was kept in the hospital for 5 days while tests were performed. Seems like he had caught a bad cold last year in Oct, ended up with laringytis which he never took care of which caused irritations which turned into an infection which turned into bleeding. Moral of the story is SEEK MEDICAL HELP!

Anyway, the day he was released, we were going to pick him up at the hospital. i said to hubby, i will go to Maxi to pick up a few groceries and when i get back home, we will leave for the hospital. WELL! That didnt happen. I was at the checkout counter. Someone had spilled some sort of liquid on the floor at the checkout. No sign was posted. I slipped and fell, broke a couple of bones in my ankle and injured my knee. So the manager at maxi called the ambulance and i was rushed to the hospital. In the meantime, one of my friends was there with her husband. They drove my car back home and told my husband what happend.

He drove to the hospital to meed me there and to pick up our son. Son was waiting at the emergency entrance to get picked up and the ambulance wheeled me in. He was in total shock to see me on the gurney!

Anyway to make a long story short, i stayed in the hospital for 2 days, doc decided not to operate because it would be too hard on me. Put me in a walking cast and thats it. Since Aug 22. Ive had a lot of pain and cant get around much. Today is the first time ive been able to go downstairs to the computer.

Maxi's insurers have contacted me about the accident. So we shall see what happens with all this. I know im going to get some sort of compensation for their negligence. Several witnesses have come forward about all this. They have given me their names and phone numbers just in case, but the insurers have that also. Insurers told me it takes up to 3 years to settle cases but this is a clear casee
of negligence. And im sure they have cameras since this was at the service counter.

@Lynn49 I am simply giddy just thinking about what your DD experienced with Da Bear! Now tbh, I would also have backed away and retreated to the safety of the house BUT just watching these " pets " enjoying their pool time gave me the warm fuzzies.
Any sc Handmaid's Tale fans out there? I just started episode 1 of the new Season ( Amazon Prime ) ....It is chilling already so I came up for coffee and snacks to comfort me when I return to it.

Oh no! @SnowFlakey that’s horrible . I certainly hope you don’t have to wait that long for compensation but with the witnesses and such it shouldn’t. Very scary, hope you feel better soon.

For those times your DD tells you she had her morning coffee with a bear! @walkonby , how can anyone not be smiling to see a wee bear enjoying itself so much?!
It looks like a refuge enclosure...

Aw, @SnowFlakey…. How awful for you! I hope your pain subsides quickly and that you get well compensated for their carelessness!!
