Morning gals!
Only get done what absolutely needs to be done then enjoy a nap later @flemeth
Thanks for the well wishes @GoJays
I'll bet after today you'll never buy Dial soap again @Lynn49 ha ha
The recycle truck came super early! That was a nice change, it has created opportunity
me to maybe head out ( the end of the driveway is now wide open! ) and shop?
Hmmmm, after a coffee I'll revisit that option.
Have a great day all.

Good morning!
Thank you, @flemeth , @cath007 , surgery went perfectly yesterday, got an “atta girl” from my surgeon this morning, struggling a little to see anything: can see distance a lot better, so wouldn’t need glasses except that nothing can be done about my double vision. So I can see distance…it’s just doubled, lol. Can’t read with my glasses, or with no glasses, but my “cheater” ones I have in my handbag for restaurant menus, lol, so that’s what I’m wearing to type. No new glasses until I see my surgeon in 5 weeks.
So I’ll be in this situation when DD and I fly to ThunderBay for our matching tattoos and family visits.
@walkonby left for the hospital in the wee hours this morning at 6am, and since she had the first appt this morning I’m hoping she’s resting comfortably in and out of la-la land in recovery by now.
Enjoy your day, everyone!

I'm back at home, was actually home BEFORE 11 a.m. !! That is some fast slice and dice operating huh? Thanks to all in here who were so kind to both @Lynn49 and myself through lovely well wishes and prayers. ( much appreciated ) .
Now for some Anesthesia humour, because why not?
I seem to get overly emotional when I wake up from the knock out drugs, maybe grateful that I woke up at all? But it gets worse as I can not stop my mouth from running praising the nurses for everything they do and are doing right at that moment for me. They must have heard some doozy comments from awakening patients, I'm sure their eyes must roll at us fools....lolLast edited by walkonby; Wed, Oct 26th, 2022 at 03:24 PM.

a full on giggle from a sweet girl, this is how my mornings need to be started!
So far, so good with my hernia recovery, proud that I have only had to resort to taking 2 of the prescribed pain/anti inflammatory meds. One last night and one this morning.
They sure work fast!

Good morning! @cath007 , both eyes? Oh goodness yes you’ll have a full time job dropping the variety of eyedrops 3-4 times a day! I’m still using the prednisone in my first eye from my surgery 3 weeks ago and yesterday my surgeon said to keep it up until it’s done! Best wishes for your Dad’s surgery…and coming from a normally terrified me, I’ve been in that twilight zone where I was right out of it, and this last time just in a very light doziness but aware of everything and no worries either way. When the surgeon drops that magic stuff in my eye, it’s absolutely frozen over!
Furnace check-up guy been and gone, so nothing else going on today.
Enjoy the day, everyone!Last edited by Lynn49; Fri, Oct 28th, 2022 at 11:47 AM.
