Ok, if we HAVE to have winter, at least it’s cold enough for me to stuff my hair under my beret or my hat! Wash, not set, blow-dry, stick it into a high pony tail, stuff under a hat. It’s kind-if a big thing.
So I guess everyone is out running errands before the deep freeze and more snow hits.
I'm just staying inside, Hubby runs the errands; he enjoys wandering grocery stores and I don’t drive much in the winter anymore.
Stay safe out there tomorrow, into the weekend, it’s going to get nasty.Last edited by Lynn49; Thu, Jan 11th, 2024 at 01:18 PM.

Good day fellow thread dwellers!...dunno what attempt# I am at in trying to post as always something makes it not happen like losing my internet(yesterday) and having computer run out of juice(today) and whatever else has come my way..blah blah blah...
So in light of the above this shall be short and sweet if need be or I will rattle on time permitting.
Happy New Year one&all to you&yours! My take so far of 2024 is that it's colder than it has been and snow/rain mucky. Not much resolved from last year in the world so far.Let's hope and pray that it will happen.
DS in Oz is sweltering as they're breaking records meanwhile back here we're going to get hit real bad as @Lynn49 mentioned.
Trying to have two seasons exist in my mind at the same time is mind boggling,it just doesn't seem real. Then again that could be said about lots of things in and out of my mind.
Still working on getting my Christmas tree down.In my defense it didn't go up much before Christmas and I have more pressing things on my to do list.
Thankfully my walking continues to improve albeit slower in the mush out there but every bit helps no matter how much one does.
Well DW should be home soon from work so I'd best be going. Thanks for reading my ramble this far-always appreciated!
Be the blessing you would have others be to you!Always remember the What are you thankful for today? thread as there always is something to be thankful for.

Temps dropped to -30 with wind-chill in the -40s. What a beautiful day! It seemed daunting, but did not turn out so badly. Went running in it and felt my toes freezing, but then they warmed themselves back up. Then the fingers got cold and re-warmed after clenching my hands into fists. On the way home, the wind was blasting me in the face, so it got cold, but warmed back up after I turned for home, too. Weather like this makes me feel alive and appreciative of my ability to sense it.
Found a carton of passionfruit drink someone must have dropped while loading their car at RCSS.My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

@Skippy
Look at me, fretting over a hockey game. Matthews scored 2 more goals, they are ahead atm, but I have my doubts.

@Skippy, good on ya for keeping up with your walking, I’m happy that you can and do. I could probably walk a block before my back or my hip switches to searing pain, so truth be told, I’ve given up trying. If I decide to wander a little through Costco, or the box stores here, I take an Aleve which I’m not supposed to take. Six of one, huh?
@walkonby, we watched the prequel to the Hunger Games, Ballad of Songbird and Snakes, about how Snow became the character we know him as, in the games. Depressing!
So now to bed…..I hope!😳

Absolutely! We used to do that every February for the month….it was such fun to drive south and peel more clothing layers off as we travelled. Good old days.
Thanks for our morning smiles, @GoJays !
