I just discovered our library’s magazines app!! Every magazine I could think of is in there, free to read! Something tells me there won’t be much in the way of constructive activity here today!
At -20, going up to a whopping -11, it’s a good day for curling up on the sofa.
Enjoy your day, everyone!

Good afternoon my friends! Hope everyone managed alright with the storm as we now await the next one tomorrow night.
Not going too far as city has not done all their snow removal, so walking difficult in some places.Fortunately in my neighbourhood those who have snowblowers bring them out and help the rest of us snow removal neanderthals. What a blessing they are!
Thank you @walkonby for your best wishes. The old shoulder which I busted way back when acts up sometimes(especially when I do stupid things).Heating it as I speak.Hope you're feeling better today after dealing with the snow yesterday.
For those who think things can't get screwier I give you the M&M's debacle

@Lynn49 so many magazines at your fingertips! I would also burrow deep into the Free App archives. Enjoy them all!!
@Skippy that is why I have watched Late Night With Stephen Colbert, he covers all the ridiculous Fox news segments
in real time! All the Fox pundits rattle off their comments in the a.m. the afternoon and whatever insane things Tucker
and the gang spews, Stephen spins all of it into comedy GOLD!
He should really pay them a writer's fee!

We were pleasantly surprised NOT to have Mother Nature cancel our double b'day celebration at the Mandarin Buffet. Not only was the Saturday evening forecast of snow a total miss, but Sunday the stuff never even started falling here in Scarborough till around 10:00 a.m. Our reservation was noon. So nana nana boo boo! We were in and out and home by 2 p.m.
Btw, @Lynn49 they did not have any of those items you call " sandbags " anywhere? I remember the way you described what they looked like, pretty sure they had those at the other Chinese Buffet ( Dragon Pearl ). No harm, no foul, as I filled up on so many other yummy items.
DS#1 gifted me a scary generous $200.00 Instacart GC that I scolded him about, that fell on deaf ears. I've never used Instacart before but should be fun!!
woo hoo Morgan Rielly's face says it all as he finally scores his first goal for the Season! lol

oh Dear Lord! @GoJays can ya imagine? Scary encounter had they shared the fallen tree at the same time. Photos like this make me ask WWWD? ( what would walkonby do? )
Crap my pants?
cry?
close my eyes,?
freeze up?
pretend to be dead?
or all of the above.
Good thing the only nature walks I participate in are virtual and the wild animals I interact with are ceramic.
Happy start of the week day to all it effects.

Lol, @walkonby , judging by the times of day those pics were taken, I don’t think that guy and the critter had an encounter. But did you ever see one of those “the last pic they took” where a guy took a pic of a huge bear? They found the guy’s camera. We’ve had our own encounters with bears in our neighbourhood, our DD opened their side door to see a bear in their garbage containers just a few feet away….another time she went out the front door as a bear was rounding the corner of the house, lol! We’re a few blocks from them, suburban neighbourhood, but their home backs onto a green belt that has a creek running through it that critters follow…then to the park between us, then to us, so although a green belt is lovely, it does contain (or not entirely contain) critters like bears and coyotes.
Good morning everyone!
Not a lot of snow fell here, but it has been cold, -9 today. I may plop on my pink fluffy beret and ask Hubby to bring me to Michaels for sewing thread. I’d rather go to Fabricland but they’re across town, so….meh. Then perhaps to the quilt store a few blocks away (I might just drive myself, it’s so close)…
No sunshine, though……
Enjoy the day, everyone!
