hooray for me! Maybe I AM developing a greener thumb after all? In November I bought 2 Poinsettia plants and 3 Amaryllis kits. Started the kits around mid November hoping the huge blooms would be brag worthy for me on Dec. 25th. The sun decided to go awol for many days, but I watered all of them every few days. As December marched on nothing much was happening with any of the Amaryllis plants.

All 3 of them had only a green centre stalk and leaves. Sigh.
Fast forward to last week and one of the Amaryllis stalks is heads and shoulders above the other 2 with FIVE buds on it , 2 of them opening up yesterday!!
A single bud on the other and no buds yet on the last plant.

The good news is I didn't kill any of these or the Poinsettia's!



Loved being able to open up my blinds today, this doom and gloom sky is perfect for me as my sensitivity to light prevents me from allowing blinding sunshine to pour in daily.
Christmas and new Years are done.......now what?

lol!!! @GoJays DH and I say almost ALL of those " middle age " quotes every day!
I woke up this morning feeling very much like Upsetty Betty,



but after a few minutes sipping a mug of tea and emailing a good friend I found myself laughing at the silliest things.
Silver linings are all around us ( said the potato wrapped up in foil! ) .
Despite how I allowed my day to begin ( foul-ish mood ) it has turned around.
Hoping everyone's day takes on such a glow!
