A flyer distributed by a group of Oakland Deadheads in December 1990 inviting people to smoke on April 20 at 4:20 p.m. did the trick.
A reporter at High Times magazine got hold of the flier and printed it in 1991, bringing it to the attention of cannabis fans across state lines.

Then of course things always get exaggerated and abused???

I lived a very sheltered life in those years, @walkonby…hahaha!
First I heard of this….tsk, tsk…you must have been a wild child!🤣
@flemeth, yes, Walks’ surgery was scheduled for 7:45 this morning, I sent a prayer up, also, for her and her surgical team.
I bet she’s all tucked into bed with everyone running around at her beck and call…hahaha. At they’d better be!! 🤗

Update on Walks’ knee replacement: her surgery went well, she’s home of course, but in some discomfort from pain, but I reassured he that it’ll subside into stiffness which will be helped by her physiotherapy sessions. I hope she gets a good one, I found that to be so important.
She attempted to go on their computer a couple of times, but for now, it’s just too much for her.

Shes one tough cookie and I know she’ll get through this beautifully.

I hope you have a speedy recovery.
I was lucky enough to have been able to observe a knee replacement (it was part of my job) and i believe you will be dancing in no time.

ha ha !! @Purdee or as my friend who is coming Friday to visit me says....you'll be doing the jitterbug in no time! She's younger than me, how does she know what the jitterbug is?


Came up to make a cold turkey sammy ( forgot to credit DH for cooking up a whole turkey on Wednesday!? ( a Butterball!! ) The whole meal, sides and all. Bless him.
I sliced open 1 1/2 of the soft buns he had bought. Too bad I finished the half first, tried so hard but had to wrap up the other half of the whole one for later ) This reduced appetite
is a new thing for me.
