Good morning!
@GoJays , I actually DID go through our kitchen junk drawer last year! I put things I didn’t think we needed in a plastic box and so far only took ONE thing out of it! 😇 Feels very constructive!
GS is on the bus with his school concert band to NYC, one performance, then a museum, the aquarium…I know I won’t draw a deep breath until he’s safely home on Sunday!
Hubby gets his cortisone injections in his knees today, not a fun thing, we’re told, but since his hospitalization prior to a knee replacement, this will have to do. Fingers crossed!
Ok, everyone!! Have a wonderful day!!

Good morning everyone.
I was very disappointed with how the Toronto Maple Leafs played last night . Was hoping for Matthew to have his 70th goal fingers crossed it happens tonight.

@flemeth I was recording both the Jays and the Leaf games ( I like to rewind stuff and watch in slow motion sometimes. )
Well....when the Panthers scored those 2 goals near the end of the 2nd, with the Leaf's blowing that lead! ( again! )
I flipped over to the Jays game to avoid hurling something at the tv.
Sigh....fans that had travelled to Florida all excited with their inflated #70 balloons in tow were not only disappointed that
Matthews failed to score but then they watched them lose badly.
Btw...what the F was up with the officials calling penalties left and right for the Leaf's, but when the exact same infraction occurred against them the Panthers got no penalty??
Grrrrr.Last edited by walkonby; Wed, Apr 17th, 2024 at 07:22 AM.

Good morning, everyone!
Busy lately, Hubby’s in the hospital again, 6 months after his last adventure…might be another stent…we hope that’s all there is. We went to emerg on Friday, he was admitted, now awaiting an angiogram. We’re hoping today.
You gals and your hockey and baseball games! 🤗 Really sorry your teams disappointed you…when was the last time those Leafs were consistently a strong, winning team? We generally don’t watch either, but the Olympics should before a nice diversion this summer.
I drove by a house the other day with a very large Canadian flag in their front yard and instead of my former ‘how patriotic’ thought, I judged their motive! Those truckers, that convoy, defiled our flag to the point that has me wondering if that house was patriotic or rebellious. Sad state of affairs.
Ok! Time to change the channel from Freeland’s kindergarten, sniff interspersed way she talks to something else.
ON the upside, here’s something for our youngsters to watch, lol…https://www.tiktok.com/@rondelancey/...03191407922474

lol! @Lynn49 That guys TikToks are worth sharing.....
About my beating heart for both T.O. teams I just can't shake it. I KNOW they're a disappointment but I've had 3 kids so I'm conditioned to work past that.
Honestly, when I was working there was not as much concern from me about any sports, whereas DH was a mess always when Montreal beat the Leaf's in a game.
Guess what the weather is.......c'mon I dare ya to guess!

we woke up this morning and it snowed last night. White fluffy stuff every where and a thin layer of ice under the snow so that made it slippery driving into work this morning.

What an amazingly large country we have!!
We had a drizzle off and on today, nothing major, south of us, inundated with rain, west of us, snow?.
I’m reminded of a cousin from Europe visiting us, suggesting that we go to Niagara Falls for the day! Hahaha! Um…no.
The rain stopped for my drive to the hospital today so that was a nice wee miracle.
What will tomorrow bring for all of us?
@walkonby…Hubby was actually watching the Jays today in the hospital….I got the impression it may not have ended well?Last edited by Lynn49; Wed, Apr 17th, 2024 at 10:46 PM.

@ Lynn49 ended well? grrr! That bloody Tim Mayza brought in as a " closer "?? Yes, go ahead and walk guys, then let them score!! He erased their lead in the top of the 9th blowing all their hard work from offence. Blue Jays won the series but it should have been a sweep! I won't even mention that disgusting strike zone!?
Manager Schneider was tossed in the 9th for speaking his mind about the blind umps calls.Last edited by walkonby; Thu, Apr 18th, 2024 at 02:43 AM.
